#17 reporting in for June (form already submitted). I managed to save £1,870 this month, a few annual bills will be hitting in the next few months and still searching for a replacement car so if that doesn't happen soon there will be a major service due on my current one, all reducing any potential savings growth.
Saving goal for 2025: £17,561/£30,000 (58%)
Saving goal for 2024: £27k - achieved3 -
hi all, no. 10 here reporting savings of £1,259.16 for June, bringing my total for the year so far to £4,747.93. Happy with that! The second half of the year tends to be cheaper so I'm definitely hoping to pass my target.2

#13 reporting monthly savings of £1,467.28 and annual total of 8,851.60. Unless I have an exceptional month in July I should get past £10K for the year at that point. Baring in mind that April was an exceptional month with much lower savings, I’m over the moon to be almost two-thirds of the way there after only half of the year. Will have an extra £50 per month to save or spend going forward as the 1st July was my last gym membership payment (I gave notice almost a year ago but lockdowns have pushed it back to now). No holidays booked for this year, I have a week off after next week but only have car repair (covered under warranty), exam (already paid for) and watching golf on tv planned for that week as well as probably some walks, gardening and housework to catch up on so should be a very low spend week. Then working solidly through to September to cover rest of colleagues having their holidays so hopefully July and August should be fairly low spend in general so hoping for some good totals over the next couple of months.

It's more of a subject for the pensions thread really, but I do need to seriously consider when to let go of work. I don't even enjoy it now, but the irreversibility is scary and lockdown and WFH have further muddied the waters. There's been a lot of talk about ending work on http://monevator.com/ recently, where one of the team has recently pulled the plug.If you have a reasonable belief that you have enough, don't let fear of the unknown hold you back.

#95 finally reporting in again.
Apologies I have been in the process of finishing off some renovation projects. Today is my first day off in about 4 months and it’s been lovely.
I have declared £800 for June as that is my current S&S ISA balance for this year and although I am also going to include pension payments, I need to get those added up for the year.
Now I can also start saving more as the work and expense will be less going forward.
I just need to catch up on this thread now and do a full update.
Edit- Just added up total pension contributions for 2021 and its £3708.27 including tax and employer contributions, plus more to come later on in July. Will update the spreadsheet for July laterDebt Free - done
