Morning my beautiful diary friends How are you all.
@enthusiasticsaver cash definitely works better for me. I've also kept all receipts so at the end of the month I'll do a total for each category.
Spent £61 sunday on food shop that was out of last weeks budget so £4 under budget for the week.
Spent £50 out of the gifts budget for fathers day
Spent a total of £15 on fuel last week.
Spent £8 on food and drink while out one of the days I forgot to take food and drink with me. Lesson learnt be more organised. On that note I need to check all the water bottles and lunch boxes in the cupboard
£60 on school photos which came out of the school budget
Total £192
Nothing else Spent.
Took £50 from the roll over budget and put it in the van fund - this is for a bigger car which I want to pay cash for. And left £27 in the roll over budget.
I am slowly building up a £1000 emergancy fund, and still Plodding away saving for carpet for dds room.
I've also been putting money aside each week for days out/entertainment. We try and do as many free activities as possible but we will have the occasional big treat in the summer holidays like a trip to the cinema or sea life centre or the zoo.
I've got £165 left to pay on ds1 France trip then its just some spending money 💰
Just had a phone call with credu. Eldest will be able to go to a young carers group on a Wednesday if he wants too. So I'll ask him about that.
Ds2 and dds sports day tomorrow morning.
Currently curled up on the sofa reading my book.
Hope everyone is well. Love hugs positivity and prayers to all that Need or want them 💗

Morning my beautiful diary friends I hope you are all okay.
I have 3 weeks till the kids break up for summer. In those 3 weeks I have 12 days off work (if my calculations are correct) including today.
I want the house on top of so my days off in summer will just be keeping on top of it.
I should also be officially starting my level 4 next week so I need to get things organised and kept on top of so I stop feeling overwhelmed.
I'll do an update of this weeks spends when I have my binders to hand.
Anyway goals by the time they break up for summer
🌟 pay off housing association debt - our last debt not including student loans and mortgage
🌟 journal everyday
🌟 start level 4
🌟 submit first pieces of level 4 work on time
🌟 establish a good routine
🌟 declutter and organise the whole house
Including hall ways, landings and garden but not including built in cupboards / understairs cupboards etc weeks have 18 areas in the house. And I have 12 days off between now and when they break up. So the smaller areas I need to do 2 a day 3 if I can and then I can hopefully dedicate a full day to each room we have 8 rooms including the bathroom. I'm going to write out a plan now on how I plan to tackle it and I'm going to fly over to the flylady thread and use this is a motivation to get things done.
For anyone who wants an audio book to listen too while cleaning and decluttering I highly recommend the chaos cure written by the flylady herself .. I've managed to borrow it through my libary app so it hasn't cost me anything so a double bonus ❤️
Hope you all have a lovely day
ETA
🌟 no social media until the house is on top of at least (it distracts me way too much)

You are a woman after my own heart. I love listing things which need doing and am quite obsessive over categorising expenses. Being organised keeps me calm I think. @enthusiasticsaver love a list. I only do really short to do lists now with really important things that MUST be done that day or week.
I have a list on my phone for each area of the house that needs sorting at the moment but I mainly work off a ta da list which is a list of stuff I've done that day. The reason I changed to this is because looking at a long to do list Made me feel overwhelmed and I felt like I wasn't doing enough. By looking at what I have done rather than what I haven't I always feel more positive about my day.
I love my new cash budgeting system because it means everything is categorised and I know exactly where our money is being spent.
Since its already Friday I will do an update of spends so far this week since Monday.

I've just done My signatures to finalise my level 4 diploma in leadership and management sign up. I have a completion date of 31/12/2023 ... what an awesome finishing date.
I've given strict instructions that now I will be studying again along side working we are too all pull together regarding the housework so when the kids are at school I can primarily focus on my studies. And not feel totally overwhelemed by everything. I'm hoping I will be able to complete it before the cut off date but I'll settle for next December. But one thing is for sure I want to be able to look back knowing I gave 110%
Anyway nothing else to really report. Just wanted to post here as these diaries have kind of become a journal of our life. ❤️
Have a wonderful day

Morning my beautiful diary friends I hope you are well.
We recieved our gov bonus so I now have enough money in the bank (putting some extra to it) to clear our last debt. So I'll try and do that this afternoon or tomorrow.
This is our last debt not including my student loans and the mortgage.
We seem to be doing okay with the whole sticking to budget / limiting our spending.
Since cash budgeting I've been putting money aside each week for entertainment / days out
I've also got a holiday fund which I put the leftover money from our last holiday in to start off and I've been trying to add to that daily too.
We had a wasp next by our front door so someone came yesterday to sort that. I used money out of the emergancy fund for this.
Once we have made the payment for our last debt I'll spend the rest of this year building up our different saving envelopes.
I'd also like to start putting money aside for jobs around the house. Still saving for a carpet for DD so she is still in with us at the moment (in her own bed). So that's the next goal. And then some Plastering work that needs doing. Then I'll focus on the rest of the house.
Im off to make a list of plans for the summer holidays. I only have my shifts till end of July at the moment so will have to just add dates for things when I've got more of my shifts. I'm hoping to keep them busy most of the summer but on a budget to prove to myself It can be done 😀

I've decided on my birthday I will take the kids to the beach ⛱️ it's my favourite place to be. So for me other than wishing the rest of my extended family could be with us there is no better birthday present than spending the day there with my loved ones.
