Thankyou for popping by @missymoo81 re the running SIL is a keen runner and she was like you at the start she hated it and always felt like she needed to throw up. Hope it gets easier for you .
I've took the cash out for this week and stuffed the binders.
I plan on an early night tonight. I'm knackered. I've done hardly anything today, I think I'm still recovering from the holiday 😬🤣🤣
School photos tomorrow.
DP is doing a food shop with me once we have dropped the kids off at school in the morning. I'm hoping the kids fall asleep at a reasonable time tonight it was gone 11.30 last night when dd finally fell asleep 😴
Have a lovely evening all

Morning all
Kids are at school.
I've done a list and meal plan for food shopping. We were meant to go yesterday but DD was really tired so we are going this morning while they are at school instead. We have a budget of £80 per week. I've tried to base it on meals We already have. I made a list of everything we needed and crossed off what we already have. Hoping to not spend more than £60. We are going to aldi. I'll get DP to add it up as we walk round. When we get back we are going to clean and tidy the house. I've done loads of laundry since we got home so all that needs sorting and putting away.
I'm also going to try and list stuff for sale. I really should get back Into doing surveys too.
I'll make a list when I get home of stuff we need to do. We need to do a skip run tomorrow too.June 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20460 -
Update. Did this weeks food shop at aldi armed with a list and DP adding up. Spent £57.63 of the grocery budget and £7 of the pets budget on 2 toys for pup for her birthday on Monday. I'm going to make her a cake on Sunday with the kids I've found a recipe and I have all the ingredients at home.
We do need to pop to tesco for taco shells and dairy free yogurts and cheese for ds2 I also promised him some dairy free ice cream.
I did notice a few prices a few pence more than tesco. For example spaghetti is 23p at aldi but 20p still at tesco. Maybe next week we will do a mix of the two more to get the best prices as they are less than a 5 minute drive from each other. I'll check tesco prices when I pop in for ds2 dairy free stuff.
All In all I'm very happy with what we have achieved.

1. Sausage and mash with veg
2. Pork mini roast dinner

Morning all
Cash budgeting is going well so far.
Kids are at my grandmas this weekend so won't be spending anything apart from milk and petrol. 🙃
I have a roll over envelope so at the end of each eeek what's left in petrol, groceries goes in there and at the end of the month I'll move it over to a category.
I'm hoping we will get our gov bonus in our next pay. I'm going to use it towards paying off the fortis debt. I've been stashing the odd few pounds left each month into a monzo pot that will also go towards it. And I've been putting £5 a week into an envelope for it. So hopefully by the end of this month we might be debt free apart from the mortgage and my student loans.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend

Good Evening everyone
Hope you are all well.
Nothing spent over the weekend. I also did an extra shift which ill be paid double pay for 🤪
We have £50 in our roll over envelope so far this month, which is money rolled over each week out of the food and petrol budget that we don't use.
I didn't withdraw the cash today for this week. So I need to do that tomorrow. I also need to post a parcel and get Lunchbox stuff.
Have a good evening all

Morning everyone
Hope you are all well.
I'm working remotely this afternoon. Petrol will be covered by work and I think I'll be paid overtime rate as its extra on top of my hours. I should be able to pay off our last debt with this month's overtime and our welsh gov bonus that we should receive this month or next month.
@dawnybabes that's fab!
I still haven't taken out the cash for this week but I need to get fuel today and do a food shop so I'll take it out on my way home.
With this cash budgeting. I haven't had a single online purchase. Which is fab. I'm also shopping from my house more before I go and get some thing we may need. I will definitely be continuing with cash budgeting . I still have some money in monzo I need to withdraw which I haven't done yet. £80 in our emergency fund and £770 in our car fund I was previously moving a set amout to the car fund each month. I will only let the car fund (for repairs tax insurance etc) build to £2000 anything after that amount will go towards our next cash car/van. We are hoping to get a mini van as it will give us plenty of room when going camping with the kids and dog.
Have a lovely day everyone

We have lasted 11 since the last food shop with just a £15 top up for fresh fruit and veg and milk
Tomorrow I'll be doing a food shop. I have porridge in the fridge for the kids in the morning. I still have alot in the freezers to use up so will be planning our meals around that. Its mainly for fresh and cupboard stuff.June 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20461 -
Evening all
Just exchanged clubcard points for a credw family pass and English heritage family pass. We already pay for a national trust pass monthly (currently saving up for a life time pass) hopefully we will have lots of lovely days out over the summer etc till they run out next year.
Trying to think ahead regarding keeping the kids busy in the summer. They have 52 days off and I'd like 3/4 of it spent out the house 🏠June 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20460 -
Good that the cash budgeting is working for you. Often people find parting with cash is so much harder than handing over a card so they only tend to do it if really needed. 11 days between food shops is excellent. I went out for bread today and bought just bread so very pleased with myself as normally I tend to pick up extras which are not really needed as we have alternatives.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
