The plan is too leave in the bank what I need for each month's direct debits and do everything else with cashJune 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20460

Morning my beautiful diary friends.
I've updated the direct debit budget as we no longer have the loan payment
I've also set out a cash budget for the month of May divided into each week. I'll be budgeting for 5 weeks a month every month and the months we don't have a 5th month I'll divide the money between savings. I'd prefer to do it like that than have less on the 5 week months because I need to stretch it an extra week.
I have some money left in my monzo pots I need to withdraw to put in my cash binders.
If I need to pay any money in the bank I have an account with a bank in town where I can deposit it instantly.
Each month I'll leave enough for the direct debits and if I have any bank payments to go out. To cover those. The rest will get withdrawn each week (the amount left over divided by 5) for the cash binders. I'll be working a month ahead still so this months money is for June etc
I think I've covered everything in my binders. I have some spare wallets if I need to add anything.
Tax credits have adjusted again after I updated them of my income for this year. As they had it set to last years income for this year. It's a few pound difference so I've updated the budget again for that too.
I have a zero based budget set out now for the rest of the year.
I'll try to do regular updates on here of out spending.
Have a lovely day everyone

Morning my beautiful diary friends Hope you are all well. Love hugs positivity and prayers to all that want or need them.
No spend yesterday
£15 spent today on a school trip for ds1
We are away the first week of June. During that week we will be using our holiday spending money for any spends.
I'll sort out my cash binders the day after we get home (Sunday) ready for Monday the 6th.
I'm going to withdraw each weeks money on a Monday for our cash spends / savings.
It's all abit complicated but I'll use this month as an example. I've worked a month ahead for the last few years so basically.
Mays income is put aside in a separate account. The last day of the month I'll transfer over enough to cover the direct debits. What is left will be divided by 5 and that will be our weekly cash spends / saving budget. The amount divided by 5 will be the amount which will be withdrawn on a Monday for each week. When there isn't a 5 week month the money will be withdrawn on the last day of the month and be divided into our cash savings.
I'm going into work early today due to staff illness. I don't feel great myself but I'm off for two weeks after today.June 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20461 -
Morning my beautiful diary friends
Currently packing for our week away. We go tomorrow. We seem to love to leave everything till the last minute 🙃
Need to pop to tesco for some toiletry items. Might pick up a first aid kit too thinking of it.
Taking the minimum with us. Will do one laundry wash while we are there so we don't Need to pack so many clothes.
Still trying to work out if we should take cash or leave it in the bank
My dad is meeting us down there on the Sunday for the day
We will need to go to teaco once we are there to pick up some bottled water and cereal etc. I refuse to use the water from the drinking outside taps after we all got poorly on our last camping holiday despite boiling the water first.
I won't be posting now until we get back.
I will update next Sunday re budget.
Have a lovely week everyone 😀June 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20462 -

Thankyou both. We travelled back overnight last night so we didn't hit the traffic today on the motorway. Got back at 4.30am. Kids slept the whole way home. Had a lovely break, now back to reality.
I'll be stuffing my cash envelopes today (late as we were away) for this week and again on Monday for next week. Ds1 needs cooking ingredients as he's got food tech on Monday. And we need some basics as we used them all up before we went away. Fridge is empty apart from some tomato ketchup jam and tomato puree.
Big win for me. We didn't take a stove or kettle and I survived a week without a cup of tea. I'm a tea-a-holic, I expected me to be giving in and buying take out tea but I didn't. Surprised myself with that one. 🤣
We only spent around 3/4 of our holiday spending money. What is left over is going into the holiday envelope towards our next get away. And I'll continue to do that
Anyway hope you have all had a lovely week.

Lovely to hear from you! And well done on the tea front! I would be climbing the walls without a cuppa!1

Afternoon everyone.
Thankyou @missymoo81, I don't know how I did it to be honest 🤣
I stuffed my envelopes yesterday for the first week of June which ends tomorrow 🙃.
We spent £65 a tesco. Getting some essentials to get us through the next few days as our fridge was bare. And getting ds1 cooking ingredients for school on Monday.
We will be going to aldi from now on. I find I spend less partly due to some stuff being cheaper and partly because there is less choice.
I've made vegan rice pudding today for ds2. He loved it. I changed the way I made it compared to the recipe to try and get it really creamy for him. All Ingredients i had in and used normal long grain rice instead of pudding rice as I didn't have pudding rice.
I'm going to get stuff ready for school Tomorrow shortly. Bath the kids ect. I'll make some cupcakes for their lunch boxes while dinner is cooking. I Don't have any caster sugar so I'll blitz some granulated sugar in the blender thingy.
Update. The rice pudding was a hit with ds2.
Cupcakes are currently in the oven

Hey rice pudding sounds amazing. I never use castor sugar and have always made nice cakes etc.Didn’t get my cleaning list finished but did manage to get 2 loads of washing done and hung up. Sorted some washing, did the litter tray and the dishwasher. But most importantly I went for a run. Having to do this for potential job, but god do I hate it. I felt so sick afterward too.0
