Evening all (ooh, that sounded - in my head - like a 1960’s policeman!),
Had a minor sort today. Got rid of:
16: A tub of homemade play dough (from DS2’s nursery. He started school in September so...
17 & 18: Two small bags of unidentifiable frozen goodness - possibly 5 yr old hm baby food. Or maybe stock. I’ll never know.
19: A trip to A&E. DD2 decided that, because he loves Lego so much, he would ram some of it up his nose. I managed to turn and extract it with tweezers, thank goodness, so walking to the hospital in the snow wasn’t required.
Sadly nobody has been to declutter the snow so it’s looking very much like tomorrow will be spent celebrating decluttering my 30’s (and possibly a couple of bottles of wine) in my onesie - once the kids are settled of course!Vicky xGrocery challenge:December 2022 £151.96/£400 . Advent decluttering challenge 47/240.14 -

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)Thursday is done & dusted. I continued in the same vein - watching TV & unpicking & restarting the next beanie 😔
Dinner was bacon, sausages, mushrooms, baked beans, fried eggs & fried bread 😋
118 - 124 Kitchen recycling, newspaper, drinks cans, 4 magazines - recycled125 Kitchen detritus - binned
Great work Thrifty_Taylor 👏 Another member of the ‘cash for clutter’ club
Ah yes boultdj - decluttering books by reading them is a valid use of your time 👏😉 NB doesn’t really matter whether they are actual or electronic 😉
Good work Barny1979 👏
You have been busy Floss 🙂 excellent decluttering 👏 I especially approve of ‘custody of the Microfibre cloths’ 😂
Might I make a suggestion gettingthrifty? As you have pieces out to remember the relative, perhaps sell everything else (having taken photos) & make a donation to the relative’s favourite charity in their name & request an acknowledgement. The acknowledgment could then be framed. You are welcome bit_by_bit 🙂. The more we share, the more likely we are to be successful in knowing ourselves & becoming clutter free 🙂 Thank you 👏 You & me both, bit_by_bit - I am very weak willed when it comes to cake - well actually food in general 😉😉😂Welcome aboard 3forholidays 👋 🥳 You are our 100th member woohoo 🥳 and you have started 👏Ah yes Nicnak but at least not ground polluting 👏🙂
Good work tryingtoavoiddebt 👏 Every item out is a win 🙂👏Great work EnergyShifter 👏Good work VickyV 👏 Lego up the nose 😱 Have a wonderful Birthday 🎉 🎂 🥳

This thread moves at such a pace - as someone else said you turn your back and it moves about 4 pages!I've sorted my cardmaking stuff, and decluttered bits of card and paper into the recycling, and generally tidied it. (thoughI'm always tidying it, don't know how it gets in such a mess)I can feel a wardrobe tidy coming on as well, might do that over the weekend unless something more exciting beckons (as if!)10

Finished the upper kitchen cupboards, took longer than I wanted as contained a lot of glassware, some shoe horned into sideboard, some onto charity pile, lots of plastic microwaveable dishes/containers into recycling, kept for, could be useful, they weren`t, also into recycling foil containers, same reason as before, I have purchased, yet to use, reusable silicone zip lock bags, so as food comes out of the freezer will dispose of the foils, making a mental commitment to eating one saved/frozen meal per week.
Glass bathroom shelving being collected between 2 -3 this afternoon so hopefully can count those gone.
Do I need it or just want it.11 -
