So that I don't have to read through all 400 odd other pages that I haven't read so far, what is a frog please?
I think I get it, but I'd love to know for sure.5 -

my stomach is rolling over as I’m reading your posts.I can’t begin to condense the journey that I’ve been having with my neurological/‘memory’ problems - my symptoms were/are dementia-like. It’s been a very frightening few years but 2 brain scans eventually ruled out anything really horrible.I resisted the suggestion I could have ADHD -in fact, I was so cross with the neurologist, I basically walked out of his office saying ‘No, it’s worse than that! I I’ve been told to pay attention all my life . . . I DO pay attention!!’ Anyway the penny dropped off on the bus on the way home 😂😂😂😂I didn’t know what ‘executive function’ was, or that I lacked it! ‘Object permanence’ was another one 🤷♀️ It’s hard to separate and describe a lot of what’s happening to me because I simply didn’t know enough about neurological development. Google was my friend! My only friend 😂 I have a lot of NHS pages relating to fibromyalgia general anxiety, cPTSD, memory problems, chronic fatigue, neurodivergence etc. printed out with relevant passages highlighted. This year is ending on a good note for me. I’ve achieved a lot and, my physical health is much improved - being housebound for the best part of 3 years did my mental health no favours either.Although I continue planning for my Iceland trip next week, I don’t have a great expectation of actually going. It wouldn’t surprise me if other countries start shutting down non-essential travel: I shall just have to plan an alternative Christmas at home - me an’ the cat 😂😂 Bottom line is, if I don’t go, I will treat myself to a basic little sewing machine and direct my energy and the money saved into a few soft-furnishing projects around the house!not much decluttering to do. I’ve unpacked my suitcase and dealt with the mail. I’m going to do some mind mapping today – ideas and ambitions for next year, a loose plan 😃
FantasyMe is looking definitely looking forward to 2022 😃
keep up the good work everyone x
I have a brother who has severe learning difficulties. He presents as 'normal' because his primary disability is a speech and language disorder. He cannot process language (he can speak) which is the building block for everything. So higher level concepts/abstracts like time are beyond him. Multiplication, addition, and forget division and tenses. Its a difficult disability to describe. But many years ago when we were putting him through a private programme I took some of the tests. Just to see for myself what they were looking for. Mine came back with probable (highly) ADHD. However, in all likelihood was masked at school by my natural intelligence. I still smile at that. Am pretty sure that every other test I have taken shows my IQ levels at very average, sometimes just below.
I have always been aware (as an adult) of my inability to focus, even for things I enjoy. So when going to the cinema or theatre the second I sit down I am waiting to go home. I find it difficult to stay in the moment. The only time this changes is when I am doing something for someone else. Then the hyper focus kicks in. And I become exhausted. Mentally and emotionally.
2 years ago my sister had her son privately assessed. It was needed. His 'problems' were/are pronounced. The resulting report was one of the best I have read. It was wholly comprehensive. I was relieved for my sister. Finally some answers. ADHD.
But there were 2 sides to this coin. As I was reading it I wanted to cry. By the time I finished I wanted to weep. Just felt this huge mass of deep in my gut sadness.
I was reading about me.
Thank you for sharing.

@vulpix Ah yeah - no I get it now, now that i've re-read. Sorry, not been getting too much sleep because of Remi so minds a bit...not with it
Glad to read that you MIL is out of hospital, hope she recovers soon x
@Proofread100
A frog is your hardest, most important task for the day...just one.
To 'eat' it - you do this task first thing in the morning to avoid putting it off until later
Then you do this every day
Hope this helps xx
@balabooberlies printers are the worst. Took me 5 tries the other week to print off new dr forms... technology is great...when it works! Hope it can be sorted soon or that there's another way to print labels. hope things ge brighter for you too !

Remi's settling in a lot better now we've got his pen up though I can't stop him chewing the carpet. The Little dude still has a cough & sneeze...husband says he will call vets in a bit. Been nice to get a break from pulling Remi off the wood every 10 secs (no kidding, i timed it)
I need to return a hoodie, draft excluder tape & a pet calming plugin diffuser but unsure when i'd get the chance as Remi has bad separation anxiety with me (currently working on that)
Me & hubs seem to have the sniffles ourselves & i need to call drs as I haven't had my t.o.t.m yet when i should've. I don't believe i'm pregnant as a test came back neg.
Doesn'feel like christmas in my house... no decs up because of Remi, apart from fake mistletoe & Remi's cute stocking by the fire place

My Mum has often been heard to say.....'I have had 5 children and have not lost one nights sleep through teething'. When we were growing up people used to give their children Rose Hyp syrup in water. A newspaper report confirmed the validity of my Mum's statements. It's a fantastic natural anti-inflamatory. As we give our adult dogs through prescriptions, human drugs, I cannot see any harm giving them something natural. A little in Remi's water ?
I am about to start tiggy on this for her Arthur-Whotsit !
good luck..........

just thought of something else. When my Murphy was teething (Staffie) we had a pear tree. Luckily it was spring/summer. He would constantly chew on the pears so perhaps introducing hard pears or apples might help.
Sorry if I am going on and on...............

Hi @accidentalglixch, we got a Cockerpoo last year and bought him a reindeer antler to chew on - he gnawed his way through two already - they come in various sizes and available from the big river site and pet stores.
My friend recommended them to me and it was a life saver7 -
@Proofread100: RE frogs: Imagine you have three dishes to eat in front of you. Two your favourites and one a frog. If you leave the frog and eat the others first you won't enjoy them as you will be anticipating the frog, Eat the frog first you will really enjoy the others and a weight will be lifted. I used to do this all the time at work. Hated doing the frogs but why ruin my day anticipating?
Not much doing today. Got the decs up and just need to put away the boxes. Going into town to buy my pressies from DH as he hasn't asked yet and won't until Christmas eve, unless he has got me something that I don't want. Thanks for the suggestion...he's a little too young for those, he struggles with a puppy dentastix and teeth aren't all through yet.
I had been looking at those though!
