Bala I'm sorry that you feel let down etc. no one should be treated that way. You vent away lovely, it's better to share rather than bottling it up. Sending you a huge hug xxnanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10

*431. Cardboard cat scratcher binned after the cat threw up on it……I know tmi!!*432. Small bottle of cider DD left and didn’t want. It has sat in the kitchen for ages-given to friend today.
*433. A present of children’s crafts binned (fortunately did not pay a lot for it) after one of the cats had an accident over it
*434. Birthday present finally given out to friend reusing a cardboard box to help with packing it up
*435. Christmas present also handed out to friend (this area of my life is going too well, seem to be more organised than usual without realising it this year. It’s just a shame I have been rubbish with birthday presents this year)Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well it looks like our Xmas get together will be postponed again this year as now SiL has joined DD by testing positive for covid. We will have to decide whether we have our family Boxing Day curry-a-thon as Sil's 10 days are up on Xmas eve. DGS is the only one not to succumb and fingers crossed he doesn't get it.🤞🏽 At least DD is out of imprisonment isolation 😁Out today an empty coffeemate tin, a marmalade jar, a bottle of shampoo and another of shower gel. Had to bin a set of xmas lights too but we have replaced them today and also bought a battery operated snow globe water book. It depicts Santa on his sleigh flying over the rooftops through the snow, it's just so pretty and sparkly. 🎅🏽Proofread100 Hello, I look forward to reading all about you and your decluttering journey.MrsSD the cat scan should be through quite quickly but as for the neurologist appointment, well that's a complete guess. I'm trying not to dwell on it though or the "what if's" will drive me round the twist......... won't be hard as I'm half way there already 🤣 Sadly no builder today as his helper " boy " is ill, he was coughing yesterday so maybe he's got the dreaded lurgy too, I hope not.Take care all, my hug bucket is full so please help yourself to as many as you need 🧡nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11

Bala a trouble shared is ok here. It sounds like your bereavement is making you re evaluate things. I know you know that . Vent away. Just writing it down can help organise your thoughts.
Proofread100, hello and welcome. You will find support and friendship here, here's to a fab 2022.
accidentalglitch. My mistake I was referring to me attributing your dog to someone else who had posted saying how lovely he was. I assume cos I make sense to me, I make sense to other people, hahaha.
MIL came out of hospital today. Bless her .
I won a raffle prize. An original art work. Not my scene. I don't know what to do with it. I think they sell for a reasonable sum in a gallery locally but if I gave it to a chazzer I don't think any one would appreciate it.
So I emptied the wardrobe and refilled it. I found only 2 things to go, a gillet that was a gift and a Jane Norman coat that will never fit me in a million years. I went through the drawers too. I must have binned the missing trousers, they were getting a little scruffy. I re discovered lots of clothes that had forgotten about. I also found some clothes that I had put away that need ironing, along with the baby clothes that I bought. I don't iron very much so I will enjoy a spot of ironing when I get a few minutes.

@vulpix why not sell the picture & donate the proceeds to your favoured charity?
@balabooberlies hugs lovey. Would writing down your argument & giving it to your OH for him to read help? And well done on sorting the garage 😉2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

my stomach is rolling over as I’m reading your posts.I can’t begin to condense the journey that I’ve been having with my neurological/‘memory’ problems - my symptoms were/are dementia-like. It’s been a very frightening few years but 2 brain scans eventually ruled out anything really horrible.I resisted the suggestion I could have ADHD -in fact, I was so cross with the neurologist, I basically walked out of his office saying ‘No, it’s worse than that! I I’ve been told to pay attention all my life . . . I DO pay attention!!’ Anyway the penny dropped off on the bus on the way home 😂😂😂😂I didn’t know what ‘executive function’ was, or that I lacked it! ‘Object permanence’ was another one 🤷♀️ It’s hard to separate and describe a lot of what’s happening to me because I simply didn’t know enough about neurological development. Google was my friend! My only friend 😂 I have a lot of NHS pages relating to fibromyalgia general anxiety, cPTSD, memory problems, chronic fatigue, neurodivergence etc. printed out with relevant passages highlighted. This year is ending on a good note for me. I’ve achieved a lot and, my physical health is much improved - being housebound for the best part of 3 years did my mental health no favours either.Although I continue planning for my Iceland trip next week, I don’t have a great expectation of actually going. It wouldn’t surprise me if other countries start shutting down non-essential travel: I shall just have to plan an alternative Christmas at home - me an’ the cat 😂😂 Bottom line is, if I don’t go, I will treat myself to a basic little sewing machine and direct my energy and the money saved into a few soft-furnishing projects around the house!not much decluttering to do. I’ve unpacked my suitcase and dealt with the mail. I’m going to do some mind mapping today – ideas and ambitions for next year, a loose plan 😃
FantasyMe is looking definitely looking forward to 2022 😃
keep up the good work everyone x11 -
Floss, it’s a good idea to sell the painting. I think it will be niche. I feel bad for the painter. They had given it to the charity auction to help raise lots of money. Anyhoo our little corner of the village has raised over 2k for the young lad with brain cancer.

@balabooberlies
I feel so much for you!
My DH has AS, which has been a discovery over the last few years and there has been many tears and much grief. Understanding our differences in cases like this is so much harder and causes much pain.
Take time to yourself and try not to think about the situation while you are sitting with your feelings. There are obviously many positives with your DP, but you don't need to decide right now if they outweigh the negatives.
I agree that living on your own may be easier and more steady (I have often thought similar) but then you are without the good bits also - and for me they outweighany difficulties.
At present you are also grieving what you thought your relationship would be like and adjusting to the reality in all of its glory. That may or may not be right for you, time will tell and you will know when the time is right.
Although every person (with or without AS) is different, I will say that time and understanding of what it means have helped me massively. But acknowledging that I have had to adjust, adapt, change because DH actually can't.
I have a 2 Yr old so my situation is very different.
So take your time, make your plans, and focus on what you want out of your life and how that looks - and then go for it xxJune Grocery Challenge £0/£250

Welcome @Proofread100 This is a fab place to be at any time.
AAh BBB. Huge big squeezy hugs. Please vent here but write it out, all of it, privately about how you feel and what you want. If proper sentences are too much just write a list. It may take a lot of pages but with all of this in your head you are going to feel miserable when after all you have done, you should be feeling serene.
An amazing and unique cake @vulpixWhat a great reuse for the wood from that old tree. Glad MiL is out of hospital
and well done on your win. I think the selling idea for a favourite charity is a geat idea.
@Vaskodakarma: have you had any medication changes in the last few years? DSiL had something added that took her from a fit walking 10 miles a day person to someone who couldn't walk more than a few metres and had to have help around the house, lost memory and couldn't even verbalise sometimes. I have had a lifelong poor memory and have great sympathy. Big Hugs to you too.
So not much done apart from a haircut yesterday. However a desk went out to my MiL and I did a bit of tidying in preparation for the Christmas decs to go up. That is my task for today.
