Loveable rogue you have there @accidentalglixch
Good plan re counting BBB.
Thankyou for the medal Mrs SD. It really is making a difference. I still haven't got the bags of stuff sorted.
A good day today. I gave to DS3 and his partner a stepped unit from IKIA which is over 20 years old. ther are different sized tubs that can be used for all sorts. Jigsas and crayons to clothes. Very glad to pass it on and now I have more space in the craft room.
Not long now to the fresh start in 2022. I hope to have some gentler decluttering plans for over winter and into the year.

BBB when I went through cards a few years ago I got rid of cards from people I'm not particularly fond of ....so kept those close to me who I won't get more cards from...or were very special at that time. Mine are just in brown envelopes labelled with occasion but I think I need to go through again.

Accidental sorry to have given your dog away! We had a black lab when I lived at home. She just chewed the table legs to bits. My dad painted them with stop n grow. Jet had one bite and never chewed again!
I am cleaned , decorated and ready for Christmas. Just need to think about food. Cards written but not yet posted.
Just came in to find Fluffy testing my recently made cushions on a garden chair

Dad and I always bought 2nd hand cars from wonderful people like you. Lots of life left in them because they were/are well cared for. Just have to carry on caring and fixing.
It's funny, just received log book for the car my dad gave me in the last year. It stayed at my parents in my Dad's name but was there for my use. He used to phone me with offers from people to sell but I always said no. So glad I did because this is the last one. Mum wants to have it valetted because even at 81 my Dad was still working so it's full of tools and stuff. But I want his presence. Trust me, this car will be loved beyond ALL others.

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉
4. CLEAN & EMPTY SURFACE AREAS - DAILY
Sunday has been a mainly dry day, quite bright & warmer than of late 🙂 DSis finished wrapping the parcels for her son & we added pre-printed address labels. I have partly completed the customs forms. I have dealt with a few bits & pieces:- wrote up a couple more recipes; peeled & chopped all ageing vegetables (DH did the squashes & celeriac 👏🙂) - now slow roasting having been mixed with olive oil & seasoned with mixed herbs, onion salt & paprika; I have also started a soup. Dinner was lo mushroom risotto shaped into cakes, dipped in beaten egg, coated with breadcrumbs & shallow fried accompanied by chicken strips fried in butter 😋 Wudupa. The vegetables are done - one tray added to soup, the other 2 trays waiting to be dealt with 🤔
2248 - 2249 Kitchen recycling, glass bottle - recycled
2250 Kitchen detritus - binned

Yippee to being reunited with your notebook mothernerd 🥳 Serendipity strikes mothernerd - problems with technology & so you get to start your CBT 🙂 You already sound more positive after filling in the questionnaire 👏 Excellent decluttering in your house 👏 Very pleased that both DS3 & Beloved are on board & are helping out even though under instruction 😉 Very impressed with all the decluttering in your mum’s house 👏 Three really busy days 👏 you must be exhausted 😩 So sorry to hear that Beloved is ill - sending healing vibes her way.
So true TC77 - we can be so unkind to ourselves, even when we are being kind to others 😔 Excellent decluttering 👏 Great idea to utilise the trunk & the vintage suitcase 👏 Sounds like you might follow Blackberrycurved in getting some lever arch files to collate your greeting cards 😉
Yikes indeed balabooberlies! But bearing in mind the suggestions to adjust your counting method or use smaller bags I have every faith in you 😉 🙂 Please be kind to yourself 🙂 Am loving hearing about well loved & cared for cars 🙂 Properly MSE 🥳👏
Another one who needs to be kind to themselves vulpix 😉 Not only have you sailed past two targets but you are still working hard on the decluttering 👏 As to the CS purchases, as long as you love the ‘extra’ items then be happy that you managed to bring them into your life 🙂 Gorgeous cat sleeping on gorgeous cushions 🙂 Great work on being so organised 👏
Nice to see you ThriftyTaylor 👋 Well done on decluttering various jobs 👏 & pleased that you are feeling less stressed 🙂
Should be done by Christmas then, Gem-gem 🤞as long as there is no lockdown 🤞What a result for your DH - a cheap night out 👏 I hope you made the most of his night out and treated yourself to a little tipple 😉 Everything crossed that you can keep your car going for many more years 🤞At least you have a target to aim for 😉😉 Excellent work, especially the pruning - you & your DH make a great team, Gem-gem 👏
Wow Blackberrycurved 🤩 That is what I call a productive weekend 👏 I hope you found time to eat 😉 One Gold Star ⭐️ coming your way for the prodigious amount of work & a 2nd Gold Star ⭐️ for tackling 40 years of greetings cards 👏
Everything counts accidentalglixch 👏 Well done on starting Remi’s training so quickly 👏
bit_by_bit, as long as the bags of stuff are not in the way, they can wait 😉 Your craft room sounds like it is coming along nicely 👏 Looking forward to seeing you on the 2022 thread 🙂 Gentler decluttering plans - wish I could join you 😔 but I haven’t done enough proper decluttering…….yet 🤞
Good work villagelife 👏
But Floss, it is the ‘minor’ problems that make you love your car so much 😉😂

Hi all, oh my giddy aunt, 21 pages to catch up on.
Every one has been so busy, I have just quickly tried to catch up so I am sorry if I have missed anything major. I will go back and read it all again
@mothernerd you put me to shame but it is lovely to see you again
@vulpix I really love the cushion covers, and you are very kind getting things for baby basics.
I have been a bit in the doldrums for the past couple of weeks decluttering wise. Nothing specific just feeling dull like the weather. I have decluttered money to the dentist, had a face to face with the practice nurse for a review, , a couple of meals out with family and friends, been to a couple of football matches and done most of my Christmas shopping. I also dealt with a union matter though I still have an email to sort around this which I will do tomorrow.
I have finished knitting a shawl which has been posted to a friend's Mum as a get well present with a card as she has managed to have 2 falls and broken both legs one in each fall, in the last 10 weeks. I was feeling quite bad about not being in touch with her before but she has been in various hospitals and nursing homes which I didn't have an address for. Upshot is she is now somewhere I have got an address for so a few bits decluttered in the post. I have also nearly finished a rather nice scarf for a friend's birthday in early January, knitting finished and just need to do the fringes.
Today I did declutter a mountain bike to a neighbour for her eldest son.OH finally accepted it was not going to be ridden again. We did have a major trauma though as we couldn't find the keys to the bike shed and the 2 bike chains. Had to declutter some money on an angle grinder to get it out. There were words as even though it was not my bike the keys were apparently my responsibility, I disagreed. Anyway it has gone and I have claimed the bike shed as a wood store which will not require a padlock.
I have booked a plumber to come and do 4 small jobs, 2 of which were frogs, which are fiddly things that I couldn't get anyone to do individually but now I have grown them to 4 they will probably take all day. He will be coming on 22nd, he wanted to come sooner but I have made plans to visit my sister in Dorset next week, covid permitting and I was not going to rearrange as it is over 2years since I have seen her.
So apart from minimum maintenance and a few surfaces cleared looking for keys that's it
I am out for another meal tomorrow night with friends and plan to write and post my cards tomorrow.
Take care everyone10
