5 frogs gone - 3 admin ones that have been hanging around for some time - can't believe how quick it was to close those off.Another one was to spend a gift card (as after 18 months it starts to charge interest and reduce the amount on it). It's one of those one for all cards which are quite good in theory but difficult to spend online as apparently it works like a prepayed debit card and you put it in like a debit card so if the item is more than the amount on the card there is no way of paying for the rest of it.. Had the brainwave of combining the new card with resolving the issue of not enough pillows, so now 2 new pillows and the card has been spent. 2 frogs in one!2024 Fashion on the Ration - 3.5/66.5 coupons remaining1 cardigan - 5 coupons13 prs ankle socks - 13 coupons5 prs leggings - 10 coupons4 prs dungarees - 24 coupons1 cord jacket - 11 couponstotal 63 coupons8

Thanks for the welcomes! Our plasterer has confirmed he is coming on Friday (after waiting almost two months) so tonight is stripping the last anaglypta paper from the bedroom and sugar soaping the walls - not a lot of time for decluttering.
However in order to build some momentum, I'm going to admit defeat on trying to rehome the boxes three bottles of Christmas booze arrived in from Amazon and put them in the recycling.9 -
@skogar I am also trying to spend some One4All cards, have lost some money already as didn't realise there were charges. Both DSS & DSD in a similar situation - hoping to get some Christmas presents using ours 😁
266 - a top sold and sent
267 - a cracked glass we were still using its extended around the whole glass now, so bye bye
268 - broken earphones, replaced, not. Kept for 'emergencies'
269-272 - 3 half empty bottles of purple shampoo from lock down bleaching days. Luckily I have been reunited with my hairdresser now and the bleach is a dim and distant memory 😁😁😁June Grocery Challenge £0/£250

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉
4. CLEAN & EMPTY SURFACE AREAS - DAILY
Tuesday was mainly dry just a couple of light showers. DSis had to take a PCR test (needs a negative result to go to hospital for various scans) & sat around from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. waiting for the courier pick up ☹️ which never happened 😖 She phoned & was given the runaround - so DH drove it round to sorting office - fingers crossed it gets to test centre quickly 🤞 NHS back down in her estimation ☹️ DH was busy - cut out the strips of carpet & underlay round the other 3 walls skirting. Sanded & washed down all the skirting. Another lazy day for me but did manage a really icky frog 😔 Someone had let their dog do it’s business on our front path 🤢 & left it there. I found some pieces of cardboard & scooped it up into a plastic bag & binned then hosed the path 🤢 I finished the hm soup for my lunch. Dinner was a bolognese sauce (with peas added) cottage pie. Wudupa.

Vascodakarma, very MSE sorting out your final wishes & not morbid at all. I admire your commitment to keeping things out of landfill but as you say just this once it might be time to break your rule & commit to the new rule that the stuff doesn’t come into your home at all 👏 Hope you have a lovely time in Rotterdam 🤞🙂 Sounds like you have made a good plan for Christmas - one that you are in charge of 👏 Good luck with the list 🤞I have every faith that you will tick all 4 as done 🙂
vulpix congratulations on dealing with 50% of your frogs 👏🥳 I will join you in the ‘getting bored’ club but also the ‘easily distracted’ club 😉😉 Good work on the decluttering 👏 don’t forget to count the frogs 🙂
Great work on moving most of the clippings, nannywindow 👏 Well done to DGS for getting his jab 👏 Hopefully DGD will recover quickly 🤞 Good luck with the frog 🤞
Lovely post bit_by_bit 👏 Very encouraging 🙂 Adore your new motto “Frogs before Fun” deserves a medal 🏅which is on its way 🙂
skogar, sounds like the title for a new film The Frog Hunter with the synopsis ‘Brave & fearless adventurer sets out to deal with variously sized frogs who have been planning a surreptitious takeover. A story of Determination & Perseverance 🙂’ Five frogs dealt with 🤩👏
Thanks for that short_bird 👏 I read the wiki entry & it seems to be a common problem ☹️ The nurse did take 3 readings & each time it went down - another 3 readings & I probably would have been OK 😉
Thanks for sharing Siebrie 👏 We do have a home BP machine, so I think I will dig it out & start using it. Does your DH realise you know about his extracurricular activities?
Well done Floss 👏 I still have my paperwork from 36 years ago 😉
CCW007, not defeat just practicality 👏 Hope the plasterer does the work quickly & proficiently 🤞having made you wait so long.
Good luck with spending the One4All cards, Finstickle 🤞Great decluttering 👏

Biting my tongue while I wait for dd1 to pack and clear chaos..... think much will be left for me to deal with.7 -

At last I can do emojis, oh dear.
Thank you for the offer of more ornaments bit by bit but I will have to decline. If they are what I think they are ,I do like them but have no room in my life for more collections. DD1 almost began to collect them and then had a word with herself. One of the mice DD1 brought the other day is also a bell ,never seen one before. I am enjoying tormenting Mr V by ringing for service!
I am another one in the hypertension club. I have taken tablets for the last 30 years after having pre eclampsia when I had DS.
So DS and I had a very busy day yesterday before he went to see his Grandma again and going home. He cut branches of the felled bush/trees up and filled the green bin and 2 compost bags. He also moved all my pots (a lot) and I weeded and swept behind as the tree fellers last week just blew all their tree felling rubbish to the edges of my garden and behind the pots. I potted up bulbs and re potted things, chucked things that didn't survive the move etc. I gave my neighbour (broken leg) 3 pots of Lilly bulbs that she had admired. I was given them early this year but are not really my style of gardening. I also swept the back yard and gave the pots there some attention. I was as stiff as a board last night. It is very windy today and the leaves from the wood are falling like rain.
As it is forecast a dry day I will continue with the moving of pots on the house side of the garden. I also need to find room to put gifted plants in my only bit of actual garden bed I have. Doesn't sound much but I expect it will take me all day. I can get a lot more done when I have a strong assistant on call. Oh, there is also half a holly tree to cut and bag up.
Ds also fixed the set square so I have no excuse not to put the handles on the drawers. Tomorrow or another day... when it's raining. he also tried to get the spot of paint off the chimney breast. No luck, I will try with knife or something. A toothbrush didn't work.
So if I am to count frogs in my total that should bulk up my numbers as I think my days of decluttering huge amounts of items are behind me.
We need to crack on with the sheds but Mr V is run off his feet working days and a lot of evenings. One of the evenings is to cover for his mate who has had a heart attack and then stents fitted. The evening work should reduce back to one regular night a week soon.
Vascoda I hope you are enjoying your break. I like what you said about us being your accountability partner. I think everyone here is mine too. If I post here I am more likely to do something. What a lovely place we have all found.
Just to say I had my flu jab the other day. I was offered a non egg vaccine. What a difference. In the past I have had a huge reaction on my arm that lasted a week. No egg, no reaction. It's the future for me.

1949-1951: 2 bags of rubbish and a bin of paper recycling out.
1952-1956: 1GB data and 200 emails deleted
1957-1971: items to bin or recycling.
Great weekend away, my batteries are now recharged. (Still not enough masks for my preferences so mine stayed on except when I was eating or drinking or in my hotel room - yes, even outside due to traffic fumes and sheer number of fellow humans.) Time to get ready for work, looks like most of my work clothes are still on the airer...‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.
