Hi all, just reporting in frog has been done
Completed baby blanket has been passed in but I still need to parcel up the shawl for friend's Mum. I will try to get that done tomorrow. I also want to properly clean the fridge, sure to find something lurking
@Mrs SD, sorry to hear your DSis is having such a difficult time with the docs. Are there any other surgeries near by she could transfer to? As I have said before mine has been quite good so a different surgery might be better. I do know they are stretched at the moment but I agree they can't keep using the virus as an excuse to replace face to face appointments with phone calls. Is there somewhere you can complain to, though I am a bit loath to complain when they have had so much to cope with and like a lot of other people are starting to get the blame for things that are not really their fault. I think my thoughts on the current gubberment are very much in agreement with yours and I could rant for hours
Take care everyone8 -
Space, space, loverly space. My sitting room looks twice the size now I have offloaded all my unwanted stuff onto my friend. Gone,5 banana boxes ,an ikea box, a big storage bag, a bag for life,2 plastic bags and a black bag full of stuff. She will distribute to various places, charities in her city. Also gone,2 trees but she did bring me more wool and plenty of plants.
I am off to collect a free tallboy. I will revamp and new handles for DD1's BF's birthday, with other stuff for B.day too. His landlord has taken his chest of drawers away !?
Tonight I am going to ex work as there is a group on, supposedly amazing if not really quite my thing. A Queen tribute.
My Mum and son have recently had an upset at their surgeries ,both times with very unhelpful receptionists. It takes nothing to put a "sorry" into letting someone down. No need to be abrupt and rude.
Gotta go.
Vx

Yesterday was such a nightmare, I don’t know where to start!.On Thursday evening I was discharged at 6 o’clock without my meds (antibiotics and steroids which you’re not supposed to stop or miss) and told to go back to the hospital yesterday, in the morning, to collect them. I turned up at the hospital at 11 o’clock and had to wait around til 5.00pm before I got them!Anyway, the good news is I have them now and despite going 24 hours without them, I didn’t suffer any ill effects. In fact the only thing that is affecting me at the moment is dairy! My house is chaos – not really but I overreact as much as my immune system 😂😂 My neighbour/cat sitter is wonderful and reliable – he absolutely adores my cat but for four days he hasn’t scraped or washed the cat food bowls out so I had maggots when I got home! Obviously everything had to be thrown out and I have no bleach to clean so I’m paralysed!Milk and fresh chicken had gone off in my fridge so, again, everything has to be sterilised or thrown away! I don’t know where to start!Bleach would be good! Bleach would be so good right now7

My Covid test came back negative (luckily) although I am on 8 antibiotics a day for this sinus infection. It did seem like quite a bad cold, but maybe it's because I haven't had one in so long because of social distancing.
I wonder now if I will catch colds more regularly when I mix with big groups of people at concerts etc... because of Covid.
Oh well, I don't think I will be doing a lot today, just basic tidying up. I did vacuum the whole house yesterday and also the day before so it should be okay until tomorrow at least.:)7 -
Gosh @3secondmemory - so glad you have your meds and a good cat sitter, also glad you realise your house isn't really chaos
Mine is chaos as trying to sort out more. Have had a breakthrough - not sure if inspired by watching the nick knowles 50% clear out. Have a bag with things for the posh CS (know they will get more money) and have just put a lovely handbag in it. Bought about 14/15 years ago in Italy and used perhaps twice. Reminds me of Italy and when I used to go on holiday and was with a reasonable partner then (My kids will say I am v bad judge of b/f or partners but realise I woudn't buy it again and maybe I'll get on holiday to Italy again.
1738 handbag
1739 broken plug
1740 - 1741 bag of clothes and CDs return to my dad
So want to count each of other people's clutter but if they have sorted etc or only temp with me then count per bag.
1742 call to building society and sorted out things I'm in a muddle with.
Hoping to get more done today!9 -

Thankyou @Mrs_Salad_Dodger. I will add that recipe to my favourites and grow some beetroot next year.
My nurse friends based at the GP practice don't know what the GP is doing. but everything they don't do is having an enormous effect on all the other services plus confidence in the whole system is terrible. I wonder if it is a silent protest, not organised, but a reaction to all the stuff shoved on to them from high over the years.
I was speaking to my pharmacist the other day, he did my flu jab. When he qualified they weren't doing this sort of thing, being a secondary gp. He said the paperwork was a constant battle.
I have had a good few days. I have taken in more blankets for my Africa project which is coming to an end, donated 7 bags of books and 8 bags of clothing and bric yesterday after pulling all the winter stuff out of the loft and my mega clear out. I had moment with the books. I have let go all my sci fi and fantasy and other stuff that has been sitting around for years and I will never read. I just pulled it all off the shelves, bagged it and loaded it up in the car.
Also gone are two bags of wool, a pile of plants to various friends but in return received a numbered print and more stuff for the CS. It won't be around long I am sure.
I also had a seed sort out and garden clearout this week. I have two trays of grape hyacinth propagated from my garden for the CS in spring. That is planned decluttering for next years challenge. Still feeling like Pooh bear with this cold / flu didn’t get to sleep until 3am but will feel like that whether I make an effort or not. Doing it all slowly today
2. Photographed 2 jackets and 2 dresses to sell class items so I’m going to try not to give away but too small.Washed up tidied around then shattered. I’m not counting chores. Decluttered my head in the bath meditation, washed hair put on makeup- not done that for a while made an effort.Tomorrow I have 4 hours of zoom in the afternoon so going to sort out admin and photos and throw away in the morning, a massive job but good to do as laid up inside. I might plan the rest of my life while I’m at it 🤣😂😅DF by 2023 No 17 £1,644 /£6000 Total debt £18,000 at the start of DFW Journey. 201814TH JULY 2021 DEBT FREE now in control365 1p challenge No 497 -
Another small step in my living room declutter - I finished a pile of ironing & moved the ironing board & assorted paraphernalia to a cupboard in the kitchen - it wasn't a good look for a living room!
