sorry @3secondmemory about reference to far (ish) away countries.
Been to CS and bought a glass bowl - green tint and from one of villeroy &B cheaper brands I think but a nice size (can't say useful as don't know what will go in it!
Tried on some shoes/boots and found a pair (never worn) and will never been worn as not designed for my feet so will post for sale. If not sold will pass to CS as I think they can get more.
Unproductive so far!6 -
Yes short bird I do have the top hat mouse but I have mislaid all of them. They must be in a shed!

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉
4. CLEAN & EMPTY SURFACE AREAS - DAILY
Saturday has been mainly dry but with showers on & off all day ☹️ DH has been busy today - replaced all the sockets, light switch & the ceiling rose & yes he did shut off all the power 😉😉 He also put the first coat of paint on the feature wall + washed down the skirting on the wall behind the bed + cut out a 9” strip of carpet to facilitate ease of sanding, undercoating & glossing the first section of skirting. I spent the day clearing down lots of programmes from the TV planner + started tackling my ‘super rather than Friday frog’ 😉 I started transposing recipes from scraps of paper, scruffy notebooks & the internet into a dedicated (pretty) notebook. Also cleaned a couple of kitchen cupboard fronts. Had conversations with a couple of neighbours & donated a small pot of beetroot chutney to one of them as a taster 🙂 If he & his wife like it I will be donating a jar 🙂 Dinner was posh burgers & chips. Wudupa.
1939 - 1942 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, cardboard packaging, paper (recipes) - recycled 1943 - 1948 Kitchen detritus, non recyclable packaging from sockets & ceiling rose, 4 old manky tea-towels - binned
Well done on dealing with your Friday frog Liverpool_Anne 👏 There are two other surgeries but DSis is loath to change/ too lazy 😉 - better the devil you know & all that 😉 You & I can be the founder members of a new political party - we will have to decide on a suitable name 😉 & I am sure we will get many members 😉
Absolutely brilliant work vulpix 👏 with all that loverly space perhaps I can move in 🙃😉🙃 The tall boy refurbishment sounds exciting & DD1’s BF will be pleased as punch 🙂👏 Another poor experience with doctors receptionists ☹️😔 I do appreciate the NHS is under a great strain & was discussing it with the ‘beetroot chutney’ neighbour - he made a couple of valid points 1. if GPs are not doing face to face appointments then they should be the very last people to have the booster jab 🤔 2. With all the concern about mental health issues perhaps they should remember their ‘oath’ 🧐
3secondmemory, our precious NHS seems to be collapsing under the strain BUT not an excuse to keep you waiting for 6 hours for the medications you should have been given on discharge 😔 No idea what the answer is but something needs to be done urgently 🤔 Yuck maggots are a nightmare 🤢 has the neighbour got any bleach?
Wednesday2000 yippee to negative Covid result 🥳 Great work on all the cleaning 👏
iPad is on a go slow so will be back a little later to continue cheerleading 🙂

Great work TC77 👏 I am not one for a handbag but a good Italian one & I am there 😉🙂 I like the NK clear out programme but can’t afford a warehouse to dump the house contents ready for sorting, whilst I get the decorators in 😉😉 Good luck with the sale of the boots 🤞
Hopefully you can rebook 3secondmemory 🤞
You are welcome bit_by_bit 🙂 I will find out tomorrow if neighbours like it 🤞Thank you for the information about GPs & pharmacists 👏 Sadly I think you might be correct in your observation ☹️ Excellent work on the decluttering 👏 definitely a good few days 👏🙂 I love that you are already planning to join next year’s thread 😉
Lovely offer short_bird 🙂
Blackberrycurved, please take care of yourself - there seems to be a nasty cold virus going around at the moment. Good luck with the sales 🤞 Anything is possible when you are relaxing/meditating in a bath or being forced to stay indoors 😉
TheMsTeale, Great work on the ironing & finding space to put the ironing board away 👏
So cute vulpix ☺️

Good morning from rainy Derbyshire.
TC77 I think the mice are from the 1960's you are perhaps too young to remember them when they were in fashion. I have more different ones not in the pic. My Grandma had some when I was small, I think I collect them as a nostalgia thing. I have plenty of duplicates if anybody would like any? That's why I had the pic on my phone as I kept buying ones I already had! Still, it is all helping charities as that's where I get them from.
My space in the sitting room was short lived. I now have 2 massive base bins and a monitor instead of boxes. (large amplifiers) I am assured that they will be moved tomorrow. Tomorrow is the big shed sort out day. Lots for market place and the tip.
I have had some shocking news. A very old friend is in hospital with complete liver failure awaiting a transplant. His immune system attacked his liver after having covid.
I scrubbed the tallboy yesterday and will sand it and paint it today. I need to get in the pantry for sandpaper, paint and I think I have some replacement knobs in there too. Whilst we were out yesterday I got some wallpaper samples from B N Q to line the drawers with.
Got a couple of Christmas gifts for the Mothers. The rest of the family are doing a secret Santa this year. But of course I will still buy them all something too. I am Mrs Christmas. I aim to buy consumables with gifts. None of us needs "stuff".
Best wishes to poorly people and virtual hugs to anyone who needs one.
Vx

Chucked some empty cardboard boxes that had been lying around into the recycling bin.Sorted & moved some garden tools lying about the garden into the shed.Made the decision to sell/donate a strimmer that I only got a year ago but found incredibly awkward to use, so was just taking up space.Had a good sweep of the patio.7
