1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉
4. CLEAN & EMPTY SURFACE AREAS - DAILY
Well, I did 2 of 3 - hard boiled 6 eggs & wudupa 🙂
Back to cheerleading 🙂
Now, now nannywindow - you have been very busy in the garden 👏 Really looking forward to hearing about your DH’s successful decluttering of his shed 😉 I will rely on you to tell me if he deserves a medal 😉😉 I know we won a medal in the skateboarding but the speed climbing is far more entertaining 👏😆 Congratulations to DGD 🥳 & nice to see you rewarding her with a baking session & I like that you have an eye to your future cake & biscuit requirements 😉😉
You did have a busy day D123456789 👏 A very successful day off together, so both you & DH can have a medal each🏅🏅 - well done 👏
You are on a roll 3secondmemory 👏 I really hope you are very, very proud of yourself for tackling such a huge frog 🐸😁 My one wish for you now is that the letter arrives within a week 🤞 You have earned another Gold Star ⭐️ this one encrusted with diamonds 🙂 Not incompetent at all 3secondmemory - just harassed by RL. More to the point why didn’t the mortgage company just return the money to your account with a letter confirming the repayment? Yippee to the kids 🥳 they can share a medal 🏅 Yippee to the wine - another benefit of decluttering 🥳
Nice posts Floss 🙂
GrannyKate, This is why I love this thread, everyone is so supportive & encouraging 🙂👏
3secondmemory is an inspiration to us all in tackling really heavy & huge frogs. Like you GrannyKate I have at least one frog that I need to get sorted sooner rather than later 😔 DH & I kept our phone number when we moved from west to east London 😉 as my problem is that it takes me ages to learn a number but once learnt I cannot cope with a change 😉😔 I think cats just like being awkward 😉😂 BG need a ‘super complaints’ department - I think it is called the Chief Executive 😂 Martin would be very proud of you for seeing off the “chancers” who knocked at your door - certainly wouldn’t pay that much for a tree trim 😖
Nice post balabooberlies 🙂
2Scratters, excellent work on both the charitable donations & the gardening 👏 Good luck with your frog - hopefully seeing 3secondmemory’s successes will encourage you to start the £ rolling in 🤞😉
I hope you had a lovely weekend Finstickle. Decluttering, cleaning, tidying - a virtuous circle - each time you do one it has a positive knock on effect 👏🙂
Every bit out is a success bit_by_bit & bags have a tendency to take up far more space than is warranted ☹️ A happy DH all set to do the decorating 🙂 🥳 Hopefully your friend will agree to your plan to merge plots 🤞

Well BG finally decided they will neither repair nor replace my hot water pump despite accepting that back in May they agreed to look into the matter and failed to do anything. Whilst it is not excluded specifically from policy they have decided to exclude it as it is unusual to have one!! My new complaints person said he accepts this is annoying and service has been very poor so he will discuss with his manager a small gesture of compensation but not until next week. They also accept that the first repair to toilet was bodged which meant they had to replace the toilet cistern after about 8 plumber visits. I now have to get someone to fix pump. Grrr
Small people today and overnight so little will be done. I did vacuum all the way through yesterday but there are things lying around that need putting away. I hope to be able to do my on line quiz if DGCs co-operate. Promised to take them out this afternoon. I have a whole list of admin frogs to do Saturday which I seem to have to myself.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Daisy - belated hugs and thoughts for your loss.
Little done at home as Tuesday my DB went to pick up our dad to take him to a hospital appt and found him on the floor, - he's almost midway between two a/e but went to the one slightly further away 45min from his as it didn't have a 3 hour wait for unloading patients from ambulances! 2.5 hours from me, managed to see him in A/E and first ward as he's deaf and took other hearing aids but no-one can get them to work. Stayed at his house, put rubbish out to be collected, cleaned bathroom top to toe, filled another 2 bags of rubbish (now in my bin) back to hospital with another hearing aid, not allowed to see him (totally understand as all patients covid checked, haven't seen dad for a few months as he's worried about covid and london figs were high). Rang specialist audiologist who said would call ward ( not old age deafness), and asked ward to use pen and paper, as they said they've been talking into his ear (won't help), They're not allowed to remove masks which would help as he uses lip reading with his aids.Staff totally overstretched. Back home and grocery delivery to DD1 as her friends haven't been to help, and trying to find new place to stay and still using w/chair so need time to take her round places
Mrs SD and mothernerd so much done! and I'd definitely contact CEO office about BG as they usually have an executive complaints team. Trying to not grump at DD2 who I left to get herself to her tennis coaching job but seems to be out with friends and not decluttering!
going to put wash on and try and catch up with work, and try an view a room like my dad's to clean and tidy rather than agonising about where to move something or picking up numerous times.

I thought I was doing so well emotionally. I heard yesterday that my childhood sweetheart died this week. Out of respect to his second marriage I hadn't spoken to him for a few years. We always remained close and my family adored him. And loved him. I always had news of him (and visa versa) because of my family.
My cousin thinks she saw him a few weeks ago and if it was him he looked lost and unhealthy. Covid kills in lots of ways. He had a heart attack and I believe it was because his business has been closed for the duration of this virus. He was the hardest working person I knew and as he had a pub his hours were long. He 'raised' that small business from his 20's and fed his family this way.
I am still in shock and feel very lost. He was supposed to grow really old with me. Even apart.AKA : Bala La Boo & Bala Baloo
According to a lovely poster I am Bala the Brave who wrestled a Tiger. You know who you are.....

Hi,I have been AWOL as my laptop charger died. Gosh,so many pages to read in just a few days.
Daisy, so sorry to hear about your dogs xxx
3 second memory you are the boss! Well done on your achievements, you are smashing it out of the park. It must feel great.
Gannykate grrr, but at least the end is insight with the whole debacle now. I did wonder ages ago why they didn't just replace the toilet and boiler instead of keep sending people out, it would have saved them money.
Mrs SD, nothing like an impromptu visit to get me moving too. (not able to do emojis,no idea why) I would love a trip to London, I have only been 3 times in my life! Once every 2 decades! Your rellies are very lucky to have lovely accommodation and company at hand. I love the sound of your husbands round Britain rides. Is it a "thing" or his own routes? I would love to do similar. I suppose in our way we do drive out a lot but probably miss great places that we don't know about.
Bit by bit you have got the bit between your teeth now. enjoy all those empty spaces.
It is very encouraging to me to hear everyones progress and victories. I don't know if I would have been able to fling so much without all you lot here. Although the spare room is floor to ceiling with boxes and the pantry the same it gives me a strange pride that that is all we have. Nothing hidden, shoved in hiding places out of sight. My next plan is to go through the boxes in the spare room and make it habitable for visitors.
It was our wedding anniversary the other day, we had a day out in Chester, one of our favourite places.
I am working extra as people are being pinged and I am covering. No time for unpacking any boxes. The place is tidyish though and being so small very quick to clean. The weather has been too wet to do anything in the garden sadly.
I bought a small tallboy from FB for an awkward alcove. My clothes are no longer in 2 banana boxes and a washing basket!

Sorry to read the bad and sad news on here. It’s very obvious that we all are coping with a lot of changes in our RL living situations. And, not all of those are due to Covid but, Covid doesn’t help!I’ve had some amazing successes, including having the other four debts on my credit record written off this morning, BUT if I had the help I needed, I wouldn’t have been in debt in the first place!!!I’m wondering why I pushed myself to work so bloody hard when money apparently has so little value that debt can be written off so easily!9

Decluttering challenge 2024 🏅🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️8 -
1 x annoying saucepan
1 x handbag - I love it but never use it
2 x items paperwork
Emptied the filing cabinet and moved it across to its new position (having cleaned it and the surrounding spaces). Bedroom looking so much better. More cleaning to do in there and wardrobe needs complete emptying and clean out but I won't do that until there is more space in the rest of my little home to be able to put everything. So, next big project to do starting next week is the little bedroom which at the moment I can hardly get into.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅9 -
Difficult day trying to help Ex who asks for help but then won't let me do it and just gets at me instead. I went home in the end. Put a load of recycling out and a few more lumps of concrete in the other bin. Slow and steady! It rained, hard, so I gave up outside and spent a couple of hours on the sofa with wine. Not very productive.Magnolia Stellata9
