Frustration - The security question the mortgage company is asking me is the telephone number of the house when I had the mortgage. It was six years ago. I have not got a clue – all that is going round in my head is our very first landline number from 1972 😂😂😂
Problem solved. Obvious really – I just asked the kids because they flipping remember everything!! 😂😂

Morning Peeps,
1 large shopping bag collected full of items for ladies when they need to leave home fast.
Need to finish 2 crochet blankets to donate to my next choice of charity. Usually goes to the young homeless one in my old town.
DH did some garden tidy which I kept extending, obviously got on a roll. Looks so much tidier now. I just need to trim the lavender plants flowers.
Got the ironing to sort and do including putting away.
4 items to go back in the loft - I do however have to bring another 4 items out. Its getting harder now as there is stuff that needs advertising, I do need to get a wobble on with this Frog!

3secondmemory - I clearly remember phone number for house we lived in between 1948 and 1961. I think we got the phone about 1955 - engineer took floor boards up to bring wires in. My cat promptly went down under floor and refused to come out. Engineer returned the following day to replace the boards as cat came out when it was hungry.
Silence from BG complaints department although toilet is fixed with complete new cistern as first repair done incorrectly three months ago was irreversible. Hot water pump still sings noisily every 10 minutes.
Baking done but guess they will want to decorate cakes - we made chocolate sponge and orange sponge. Kitchen disaster cleaned up but same can't be said for DGS4's face which is still covered in chocolate cake mixture. They go home at 2 today and I have an online talk to do at 4pm.
Men called at door and asked if I wanted 2 front trees trimmed - they do need doing so I asked for a quote - £450! (these are small trees - a cherry and a willow). When I said it was too expensive he came back after 5 minutes and said £300 if we do it now - worse than insurance companies. I said no. This is a nice area with mostly retired home owners and I think we get targeted.

Not much happening here, we were away over the weekend and then a busy few days at work.
78 - dress
79-81 - hair removal spatulas (why do i keep them all when you get a new one in every box)
82 - ear defenders (ebay sale redone fiollowing annoying person the other week). got the same amount of money and this person was lovely, asked for 1st class as needed them urgently, sent a lovely message so happy to help - OH sorts postage so no issue to upgrade - we've all been there and nice to help someone out
everytime i look aorund i see more to do, but really tired at the moment so much more likely to curl up with a book when i get 5 minutes. Sorting camping stuff for the weekend and spotted a large vacuum bag full of clothes i had no idea existed as it was behind all the camping stuff!! no idea why but that's been added to the list.
do feel like i'm a it more on top of the housework this week though so that should transition to having a bit more time to think decluttering.
i also got some lovely material the otherda, so hopefully manage to make a couple of new tops over the next few days which should see some older less loved items out the door.

Hugs to all who need it
Not too much to report. I gave a bin liner full of bags to the CS which they will stuf other bags with.
We are getting ready to decorate the hall stairs and landing which are now nearly clear as I have put it all in the loft or put it away.
DH happy again
Spoke to my friend today to talk about my plan to merge plots. She is thinking about it. Fingers crossed.
Booked a holiday away in Sept as DD will finish her masters at the end of August.

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉
4. CLEAN & EMPTY SURFACE AREAS - DAILYTut, tut to me 😔 Forgot to post yesterday 😔 Anyway, Tuesday was slightly brighter with some sunshine so I was tempted to do my washing. Three loads in all, hung out the first load but guess what it started to rain 😖 TD came into play & dried 85% of the washing. The other 15% was hung out on Wednesday & dried outdoors 👏🙂 My main task of the day was to visit the P.O. to send a large letter to Germany, buy a few stamps & get some cash. Bus to P.O. but then walked home popping into 4 grocery shops trying to find a loaf of 50/50. Unfortunately I was out of luck ☹️ but on the bright side I got some exercise 😉
DH has confirmed that his niece & her husband are coming to London on Thursday & bringing his DSis (W) & DBiL (T) who will stay with us 😱 His niece (S) & her husband (C) are going into town as C’s birthday treat 🙂 So as we are having guests we need to do some tidying & cleaning i.e. lots & lots ☹️😔☹️😔 The house is absolutely shameful 🙄😬🙄 DSis helped me carry the huge box of wool up the stairs - now in my bedroom together with 2 full bags for CS which I took up earlier. Dinner was hm cottage pie with broccoli. Wudupa.
Wednesday has been a lovely day - bright, some sun & dry all day 🥳 A very busy day 😉
I made a list of the urgent things to do & then kept adding to it 😱 DSis’s contribution was to vacuum the whole of downstairs & the stairs + swept & tidied the patio 👏 DH was very busy - mowed front lawn & trimmed hedge; went to sm for buffet food for tomorrow’s lunch; moved all biking gear (jackets & helmets) into the garage; strimmed back lawn (DSis assisted by moving pots etc out of the way 🙂); heavy trim of hedge; then we harvested potatoes from 3 potato pots & a potato bag. Not a massive haul: 6 potatoes = 205g,
14 potatoes = 351g, 13 potatoes = 714g & 12 potatoes = 893g A grand total of 2.163kg. As we were in a hurry all the foliage + the compost was put straight into the 2 compost bins rather than being sieved & saved for the next planting 😉 Now to my day & I have impressed myself 😉😉 1. Last of the washing hung out, folded & put away 2. Cloakroom cleaned including skirting board 🙂 3. Kettle descaled 4. Scrubbed the stair banisters & rails 5. Dusted then washed the wooden blinds 6. Thoroughly cleaned the bathroom including getting down on hands & knees to scrub skirting boards & floor 😬 7. Cooked dinner - cottage pie & broccoli again 😉 8. Bagged & froze a portion of cottage pie mix. Still to do - hard boil a few eggs for tomorrow, boil a few hg potatoes (just to show off 😉😔🙄) & do the wudupa. Currently catching up on the Olympics as the TV was actually off most of the day 🥳

5 bags of paperwork spanning 21 years is a Gold Star ⭐️ & the sure & certain knowledge that you will keep up with your paperwork in future 😉😉🤞Well done on the sales 👏 That tends to be my problem also - I sit down & then can’t/won’t get up again 😉😔What a great mum you are mothernerd 🏅👏 I hope DS3 appreciates you 😉 I was absolutely exhausted reading about all your hard work. You have done so much 👏 that I am awarding you TWO Gold Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ The library sounds perfect 👍 Not good that your sm delivery was deficient ☹️ Wow 🤩 even more work - is DS3 a hoarder, too busy or a ‘tad’ lazy? What a great idea for the little tubs of garlic/mayo dressing 🏅Very pleased that you managed a little tlc for your poor, poor feet 🙂👏 You have a prodigious work ethic mothernerd, puts me to shame 😔GrannyKate, sounds like you had a lovely time with the DGCs weather notwithstanding 🙂I got all excited 😆 reading about the BG plumber & new cistern 😁 then came down with a bump at the disappointment you must have felt that he knew nothing about the hot water pump ☹️ Great decluttering btw 👏Will resume cheerleading after boiling eggs & hg potatoes & doing the wudupa 😉MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅 🥇 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 1482/20212021 Savings Pot: £300.90 to end of AugustBe Kind.
