Week 6 is coming 1 - 7/2 emails need to be below 10000 this week, currently 10117 - bit of work required
Thank you for my medal, my first, I'm very proud.
On last weeks shopping list, where there were 3 (not the previously thought 1) items put on the list that we had in the cupboard of doom. Today I have emptied the cupboard. Three items have now been removed (old chilli sauces). I did find out that DH has managed to purchase so many herbs and spices that are duplicate!. So, I have merged as much as I can. On the herb rack we had Herbs de Provence that was still sealed. The date on it was 1997! DH still wanted to keep it (sigh). The herbs have gone into the food waste and bottle for recycling. We haven't used it in 23 years lol and it's moved house a few times!
I've put into soak an open bag of stew / soup mix. Will cook it tomorrow and freeze in portion sizes for stews. I never have time to do these when I'm cooking stew and this way I will use it.
Happy Decluttering Everyone

Hi everyone!
I haven’t kept up this week again so lots of catching up to do!
I didn’t achieve any of my jobs this week, no furniture moved but never mind. Out this week, 8 broken toys and jigsaws from DDs room, some old facial things from the bathroom, 14 bottles of beer that were gifts and we’ll never drink to my uncle. I’m also making a small dent in my gin collection due to the stresses of homeschooling so hopefully there will be more room in the cupboard soon 🥴 231/500
Happy decluttering everyone ☺️12 -
Mothernerd I like the sound of your cross stitch. You are very disciplined with your threads, mine are shoved in an old chocolate box. Come onto the use my stash craft board and share a photo.
Hope the atmosphere is easier now Mrs SD. Lockdown takes its toll in many varied ways. My next door neighbours have been doing building work since November. It is getting very waring now.
Everyone is doing so well. I am not doing as well. I have however half sorted my online bank thing. There should be a letter in the post which will enable me to finish it next week.
All this talk of gardens has got me yearning. I am an avid gardener and it has been just too wet and cold for a long time now to get outside. I WILL plant the bulbs tomorrow!

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)DH ordered some new bedding for me 👏DSis came down for dinner & I did manage to get a few words out of her, but she still hasn’t spoken to my DH - very childish for a 55 year old 😞😔 She turned down crumble & custard & went back to her room after we had watched Dancing on Ice. DH & I did have crumble & custard & very nice it was too 😋
268 - 270 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, egg carton - recycled
271 Kitchen detritus - binnedGreat work Frogletina 👏 you are motoring 😉You are welcome balabooberlies 🙂 What wonderful neighbours to have - I love foxgloves but the last time I had any in the garden was about 8 years ago compliments of the birds 😉 Perhaps when life returns to normal you could investigate where to donate the watches - some sort of museum perhaps 🤔
elsien, your grandmother’s black thumbs 😉 have generated 3 beautiful types of flower 🌺
I am not very good at growing flowers from seeds either Nicnak ☹️ Once scattered 200 seeds & got just 5 plants ☹️☹️
Another one with nice neighbours, they are a blessing moneyonmymindsam 👏🙂🥳 to the tonsillitis being decluttered gilly1964 🙂🙂 Good on you for dealing with it yourself but listening to your DH’s concerns 👏 Well done on the decluttering 👏Good work EnergyShifter 👏 Shame about misplacing your debit card, but as you said the silver lining was more stuff decluttered 👏🙂Great work jacwins 👏 no more cupboard of doom 😉 The problem with ood herbs & spices is that they lose their efficacy - when a recipe calls for a teaspoon of, you probably need four times as much 😱 - best place for them is the bin 😉😉
Great work tryingtoavoiddebt 👏 Remember always celebrate the successes & resolve to do better with the missed opportunities 😉 Hope you are drinking the gin after homeschooling 😉😉 although I must admit it all sounds so stressful that I would probably be drinking ‘during’ 😛vulpix, nothing wrong with a chocolate box full of thread 😉 DH has moved on but DSis is still sulking - at least DH & I haven’t dug up the patio ............ yet 😂 As I said, celebrate the successes - so well done on getting the ball rolling re your online bank thing 👏 Are you an Avid flower gardener or f&v gardener or maybe both? DH & I planted our bulbs late last year & there are so many poking through that we are hopeful of a swathe of colour 🤞I am very impressed with the weight loss - another success 👏Keep up the good work everyone, celebrate your successes, tackle a frog & above all Stay Safe 🙂MrsSD 🏅 ⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 271/2021Savings Pot:Be Kind. Second update of the day.
I forgot that last week I 'decluttered' 7 Kind bars to the workmen in the street who were laying new cables. I saw the men outside eating in their van and I thought they could do with them more than me, and they seemed happy to receive them.

Reporting the end of the Minimalists Challenge!
Well, I didn't manage it. I fell 21 items short which makes it 444/465. Even though my fleabay items turned out to be included! (Although, now I think about it, I did do more than 21 extra early on.)
I'm not particularly unhappy though because that's still a massive start, and I will carry on. My challenge in Feb is the items I didn't manage in Jan plus one for each day of the month. So 49 items.
Keep up the good work everyone!10 -
Bala, I would look on the bag splitting and revealing the watches to you as fate, and therefore your reward for making use of the pans. Get them valued and sold. They have no sentimental value to you or your family when you are no longer around to tell them where they came from. 😇Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.12
