  • Been having a look around the boards tonight, in the New Year I am going to try and cut down on my weight  It will be really hard because I absolutely love food and use it to make me feel better.   I'm going to join some weight loss threads when they renew in the hope it helps.
I went back to my business today, only for a few hours, I cleaned my workshop and sorted out my diaries and I feel a little glimmer of enthusiasm.  I had another customer call today and book in for around late January that always makes me feel better, knowing that there is money heading in my direction.  I need to get my butt in to gear and get back to it but I will struggle now in the school holidays.  I think having a few days where I just switched off and made sure I only did what I wanted to (well within reason, still had to cook, clean and do most things) has given me a bit of a rest, I don't do much work on the weekends so another two days of rest will help I am sure.
I mucked out all the stables today so I am in DH's good books :) such a hero   It's his job tomorrow though, I am hoping I can make some cakes for the week and top up on the bread making.
Would love a lie in tomorrow even just half hour.

Come and join us on the SlimmingWorld thread - Lose lockdown lard with SlimmingWorld. Everyone is really friendly and helpful.  Don’t need to go to group but does help if you have the basics.

Thanks @joedenise I will definitely, definitely do that!  I've just had a sneaky peak and it is just up my street.  DH has also said he will help by having the SW meals for tea each night.  I have 2 stone to lose :0 so no mean feat especially as food is my go to crutch, i've got till end of July to do it.  I've got a treadmill and cross trainer which are gathering dust, I will bring them along as well!  Again it's my all or nothing mentality, I either diet and exercise like crazy or sit on my butt and eat like crazy.

That’s the great thing about SW you can still eat loads and lose weight.  My DH eats all SW meals with me, he just eats extra things which I don’t like crisps, although it’s possible to eat them if you want to.  I prefer to use my syns for chocolate and alcohol!

Yes my DH likes crisps and so do I, so I used to have one of his, I would often ask him to have a pack so I could have one but not eat the whole pack and satisfy my craving!
Today has been beautiful weather wise, sun out all day whilst crisp.
It marks a whole week today that I have not used the tumbler, I have used the line, radiators, airers and the airing cupboard, it does mean I have to iron though but that's ok.
Job 1 has really pushed my limits this week and I am sat here racking my brains for ideas to pay the debt off quicker and or get another job, it really raises my anxiety which makes me procrastinate on other things, eat and generally feel unwell and stressed.  A lottery win about now would be perfect, life is too short to be this unhappy.
Although I love to see the sun it doesn't half make the house look dirty, windows need a clean, skirting boards need painting, you name it our house needs it!
I am really, really trying to get my head into order so I am in the right frame of mind to do some of my business 2 tomorrow, for goodness sake woman just sort yourself out!!  It is so hard!
I think maybe if I do this particular job and get it out of the way I might feel better.
Today hasn't turned out as expected, only one loaf of bread made, two loads of washing, no cakes, no hoovering etc. but I have caught up on lots of paperwork for Job 1 which I have to do :(
Tonight I am going to sit down and put the tree lights on, have a cuppa with DH and binge watch silent witness again, then I am going to bed with my 'chastity belt' as DH calls her (puppy) who sleeps between us and cuddles me all night, she really does make me feel better :)

  • Been a sunny day here again, no tumbler used.
My phone app is showing less on the electricity usage than the smart meter, I really don't know what to think.
DD came today and worked with me, I love it when she's here.  The job I've been putting off because it keeps going wrong, went wrong again today arrgghhh, its so frustrating,  I don't feel like saying nevermind but what else can I say....just have to try again.
Mucked out 2 stables to help DH, I'm secretly enjoying it.
Tomorrow is the last day I can concentrate on my business 2 until the New Year, I have a few little jobs I can do but all else will have to wait.
I am thoroughly enjoying working job 1 from home, not the job just the lack of travelling, I am still more than desperate to give up.
No spends for the last few days I am hoping to get to the new year, DD has bought the pop and I might have to get cream, other than that, that should be all.
Counting down the days till I can do the debt figures this month, tomorrow I need to balance the bank.  Feel like a farmer.....ploughing on

  • Slowly but surely I think I am putting things back together, in my life that is.  It's been a very big muddle for quite some time.
I want to keep track of my progress forward and don't want to slip backwards so I am going to log everything on here in a more organised way.
    So here we go:
No tumbler used - washing dried on the radiators and airing cupboard.
Lots of plugs on standby have been turned off.
Have left electric fire off tonight (it's only pretty anyway).
Tree lights left off until this evening.
Slimming world burger and bake potato for tea, with baked beans.
Have drunk three glasses of water.
10 minutes on treadmill one of which was running.
(A few biscuits and cake this afternoon, oh and a mince pie) small steps.
    Have balanced the banks.
    Balanced shopping budget.
    Goals set:
Work up to 30 minutes on treadmill daily, increasing running if possible (I find it really hard), am expecting this to take a few weeks.
Lose 1lb a week (I love food), don't realistically expect any sign of this until January.
Improve self care such as long baths, filing nails, etc. Just making this list is a start.
Have been thinking about New Years resolutions, I always make some just never stick to them.  One I read from my diary last year said I wanted to keep to a £75 a week budget for shopping, the last few weeks have shown me I can stick to a £50, so that's good news for this year.

A good day yesterday, I did do a post but I have no idea where it is.
So far today I have wrapped presents, made bread and eaten about 10 heroes.
Yesterday I did 23 minutes in the cross trainer and ate less, I am hoping to do the same today
    but chocolate is my downfall.
Christmas has officially started here DH and DS have finished work work so have I, DH and DS will probably do the odd day but officially we are all back on the 6th, I will probably do a few days before then though.
Have just boiled potatoes and forgotten them so they are literally slush!! They were boxing days roasts.
Rainy day here, off to wash the bedding, still no tumbler used.
