@powerspowers - who did you go with for breakdown cover? We've previously used AutoAid, but it looks like Autonational would suit us (cover for one named vehicle) and it's only £33 a year at the moment.

We’ve stuck with RAC - other half drives 150 mile commute 2-3 days a week and would rather pay more to stay with someone he trusts. As I drive approximately 8 miles a week I’ve gone along with it 😂MFW 2021 #76 £5,145

Some money saving today
Feeling the benefit of lower water and mortgage this month so I’ve tucked £100 from joint into joint saver account and £100 into my random spends saver pot. Also bulk bought some eco firefighters and bokashi bran, we’ve got room to store in the garage so it’s an investment 😆
chilled boy free weekend 🙂 we both did parkrun yesterday and marshalled this morning. Ts dad is coming round today from the north, cake is in the oven and we’ll probably go for a walk. I got impatient with the garden yesterday and put some seed out (all collected last year) , we’ll see what happens 😬MFW 2021 #76 £5,145

Phew I’m glad to make it to my Friday off! This week has been a whirlwind of juggling work pressure, something every night and having youngest at home as he has Covid (no symptoms since Tuesday but keeps testing positive, annoying as he’s missing out at school)
I treated us to Chinese last night and going to take mum to a garden centre this afternoon 🙂MFW 2021 #76 £5,145

Yay it’s payday 💰
i felt rather flush towards the end of the month as a combined effect of better use of saving pots, less direct debits in Feb/March and less spent on food as a result of full freezer of meat bought last month.Recent spends
4 camping chairs £110 (although T paid half) our current ones were free but take up a lot of roofbox space when camping, these are very bijoux!
£32 to attend national outdoor expo. This was annoying as we found free adults tickets after we paid and was rather underwhelmed with it. We met up with friends though and I saw one of my heroines speak live so it was a good day overall.£62 at the garden centre on fruit bushes and some climbers, this was from wedding money
I’ve managed to stay out of my overdraft and would have avoided the credit card except I picked up the wrong card 😬 counting this as a win though.Last years pay settlement came through this month so backdated 10 months, which was nice. I was about £250 up so have moved £455 into savings for March.Plans today are nip to the plastic free lady and stock up. Anything left in the joint account is being tidied onto mortgage before start of new month on Monday.T and are going bike packing this weekend, we’ve been saying we’ll take the boys for ages and are going to do a dry run without them. Hope the weather stays nice 🍀 ☀️MFW 2021 #76 £5,145
