Morning wannabes, happy March! A quick revisit of my goals…* OPs averaging £550pm in order to meet 1&3 yr targets (sub £100k and sub £75k)
January £625 🍏
feb £300🍋
march £600🍏* cash savings at least £6k 🍏 stretch target £8600 across all pots. I’ve held this steady, introduced a new buffer pot to dip into for clothes, outdoor kit etc.
* house projects - progress on en suite and garden 🍏 I’ve made some progress in the garden, I’d like the veg patch to be an actual patch by next month. T has furtled with some pipe work, I’ll keep making tea as my contribution. Good use of vouchers yesterday, £30 off bathroom stuff🏆
* keep up eco small steps (cycle first; reducing waste; less red meat; buy 2nd hand, shorter showers, less laundry) 🍏 eating more mixed meals with boys and when we do have red meat, bulking it out with beans etc. we’ve got portions of mince 450g from the butcher which we bill out for 4 of us + leftovers. I’ve not been to plastic free lady for a few weeks and also need to get back on my bike.* prioritise balance between work/health/wellbeing.Hmmm this is better than it was before I solely moved to new job. I’ve done well moving away from old job. I had a huge wobble when it flooded as old job had responsibility in emergency planning. I believe in the new manager but was worried as they had other stuff on and to be honest I had a bit like of FOMO. I reacted really anxiously and found it difficult so I’m not out of the woods. I’m also feeling quite isolated at the moment (not helped by covid so couldn’t go in the office as planned this week). I’ve made some changes and I’ve booked a session with workplace counselling as I know there’s some underlying 💩 raising it’s head.A big opportunity has come up and I want to go for it. I’m struggling with imposter syndrome though. Channelling me inner Hermione “if not me, who; if not now, when” and trying to break it down into manageable chunks.I’m doing fairly well at staying active and pulling my weight at home. I’ve got a face to face meeting on the next few Mondays which I’ll cycle to.Thanks for reading if you get this far xMFW 2021 #76 £5,145

I was mostly distracted by the apples and lemons scoring system (😀), but sorry to hear about the wobbles. Well done on getting the session booked to chat it through though, and good luck with the big opportunity xMortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

thanks thanks SH, I’ve had counselling several times and it doesn’t work if I’m really struggling/depressed so I made a plan years ago that I’d start it whenever I felt a bit wobbly. Im really lucky to be able to access sessions through work.MFW 2021 #76 £5,145

A good weekend mostly. I did some volunteering yesterday which was good to be back to in real life but I found a bit whelming and that I’ve lost some of my confidence. I felt a bit rubbish about it yesterday but t has helped talk me round. Then jnr parkrun this morning and spent some time with big lad. Rest of the day has been spent in the garden, T demolished the crumbling bbq and I’ve absorbed the space into my big flower bed. Planted some rhubarb crowns as well 😋
money news - breakdown cover paid for the year. I’m not used to paying for a decent package so it wasn’t in my budget- pulled it out of the new car pot. Spent £12 at cafe this morning and about £12 on volunteer costs that I probably won’t claim back. Also made some charity donations towards the situation in Ukraine.MFW 2021 #76 £5,145
