I have 3 ball dresses but would need to shrink dramatically to get into any of them... Will keep them as part of that goal though.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Yesterday was more productive than expected! We did a bit of a tidy in the garden and I made 3 ham and cheese quiches, 2 of which made it to the freezer.Money wise- I’d budgeted £100 for the ball (hotel+drinks) and spent £94 😃
I’ve bought some jumpers and tops off eBay, found a seller whose wardrobe I admired and got her to bundle multiple items together. I’m pleased as it’s the sort of basics I’ll wear til they fall apart.I’m now broke until payday. Joint account is much healthier, I think we can get some bits for garden and make a small OP from it before the end of the month. We’ve booked a weekend away in the Lake District for next month- fairly budget friendly airbnb which I still owe T half of.MFW 2021 #76 £5,145

Happy Friday!!A bit of a mixed bag this week, I’m still somewhat not right at work but today has felt better. I’m back in the office next week running some training so will see how I get on- need to be gentle with myself! I’ve done really well at moving and being more balanced. I’m not sure what else I can do.Visited the plastic free lady today which I’m pleased with as usual. Although I was not paying attention and now have a glut of dried apricots.Good money news is we’ve paid the water bill off until April. No idea why it was only in 7 instalments instead of 12 but I’m not moaning! Our gas direct debit needs to increase so it’s swings and roundabouts.Hoping to tackle the garden this weekend, T has ripped out the wall that went around a fishpond, we’re going to repurpose and create a veg patch. Woohoo 🎉 I made it to my day off! Training has been hard work but we’re halfway through now. Work is mayhem at the moment, a lot of people are struggling financially and it’s been passed to local gov to pick up the pieces 😔
I’ve cycled in to work four days in a row, so definitely meeting my aim to move more! I’ve also done well at leaving on time and managing to carve out some time for me. Downward slope next week. Not much to report money wise. I’ve not spent anything all week 👏 and the joint account still looks healthy. We’ve developed a small leak on the dormer roof though which a roofer is quoting to repair for us, if we can cover it from joint account I’ll be pleased but it’s not the end of the world if not. Tax & MOT for the car came in at £70 which is mind blowing after driving older vehicles and budgeting £100s.It’s Ts birthday today so we are hopefully doing something fun this weekend with the boys, not decided what though 🤔. He’s working today so I’m pottering and seeing my mum later.Have a good weekend wannabes xMFW 2021 #76 £5,145

Glad things are going well. Hope the roof fix is as simple as expected. Great news on the tax and mot.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
