  • I’ve been really spendy recently, £77 Christmas, £25 for a friends new baby, £10 leaving collection at work, £60 clothing for me and succumbed to a bokashi composting set - £30. I blame posters on here for all the compost talk!!

Not sure of the weekend plan, we were going to go tree planting in the country park near us but it’s been cancelled due to storm Arwen. So probably an indoor weekend 🤷‍♀️ might take boys swimming or something.

Have a good one, wannabes  x

  • Argh the spendings have continued!!
A whooping £320 on having the wedding photos printed and photo books ordered-   It was roughly 50/50 between canvases and a big photo book for us and then 8 smaller books and a few canvases for family as Christmas gifts. We had good deals using black Friday codes etc but I’d not quite realised how much it would be!!

Other spendings- £200 new freezer to replace the massive fridge-freezer in the garage, should be slightly more efficient as we don’t use the fridge. It also means we can put a workbench over it.
£75 for a  massive Persian rug for the lining room (from a friend, she bought it 2nd hand 15 years ago!)
Both these were of the house list which came out of savings.

£35 Christmas books/gifts from w’stones- will get £10 discount in stamps though for next time
£75 Christmas tree and a big terracotta pot to put it in. We usually have a cut tree so it will be a saving if we can keep it alive at least a year

this afternoon was spent playing in the snow and sat next to fire so at least we haven’t spent any more money! Covid test time now 🙄

failed today cause I got the bus from work, didn’t fancy snow cycling!! Luckily it’s gone now and should be sub tropical by Wednesday

Edit to add- bills and direct debits don’t count and I’m not being responsible for OH, just myself!! I know some of you are purer on the no spends and I salute you, I’m just trying to slim down the spends before Christmas 😂

  • Two NSDs 🎄🎄

I must admit I was tempted today to get some stuff for a gift drive but decided to do a haul of things from around the house which went down well and stopped unnecessary purchases!

I technically started my new job today, although I’m currently redeployed so it was the same as yesterday but I was paid more woohoo!!

£250 regular OP scheduled for this week which means we’ve met my £3k mini goal ✅ Going to see how high we can get it
