@Blackcats That sounds like my dinner today, leftover roast pork with bubble & squeak made with mashed potato, swede, carrots, cabbage and served with processed peas! did follow it with blackberry and apple crumble and evaporated milk too 🙂
I have now had my very large freezer delivered and it is nearly full, it is nice to actually be able to see what I've got. I keep a list on my fridge but it does sometimes have things on it that I've already eaten! I made a couple of coffee cakes in celebration 🤗 really wish I didn't like cake quite as much!
Made my trellis on Friday, didn't quite go to plan as put my back out and am now off sick 🤕😅 so I haven't made the raised bed or planted any seeds yet!
I am hoping for a good Cheltenham MB week, felt very under pressure last year and didn't make that much, I know I've made at least £70 so far, anything else is a bonus!Lightbulb moment and house renovation debt 01.01.19 18500, 01.01.20 £11450, 01.01.21 £4980, 19.07.21 nil.

@t14cy_t That's quite a stash of food, have you got room in your freezer or are you just going to eat it all?!.
Half way through March, hope everyone's budget is looking ok. So far so good with mine, think the frozen veg is making more of a difference than F&V box just got some peppers and potatoes to use up from that. quality of the fruit and veg wasn't good this time, quite bruised.
Woke up with a sore arm this morning, picked up and moved my lovely smiley red Henry vacuum cleaner round (really good for cat fur!) yesterday rather then pulling it across the floor - it's quite heavy so hope I haven't made my arm worse.9 -
Thank you to those who have reported getting the vaccination. I was looking forward to having mine until the past couple of days of hysteria over potential blood clots. Mine is later today and your feedback has put me at ease. 😷7

@Tightpants24 I've always thought it's better to be vaccinated and maybe suffer some minor side effects than to catch Covid which could be far worse!7

I got up early and visited my two local Lidls and came away with a massive haul of fruit and veg and also some ready-meals for the friend who brings me goodies from his work. Surplus veg and fruit will go to a neighbour and there is probably enough from my trip to last me right through the week and into the weekend. @Tightpants24 and anyone else who is worried - for most people the side effects are very minor if you get any - my arm is fine now so don't know why it was sore earlier. No one has managed to prove there is any connection to blood clots so far, if that happens it will get sorted quickly particularly if people start threatening to sue!. I'm just relieved to have had it and can't wait to get the second one, the thought of being protected against such a terrible virus is something to look forward to!
Having a lazy day today, not working so just been in the kitchen prepping veg for lunch.
@willow_loulou hope your decorating goes well, love the idea of the spider plant in a string holder, I used to have one of those but didn't make it.
@StrawberrySuze Hope you back gets better soon. It's so easy to do, I don't know how tall you are but I'm just over 6ft (1.83m) and have quite a long way to bend down!.9 -

It is a worry when you read the headlines but it didn't put me off - Good luck with yours!

Thanks for the reassurance. I am definitely going to have the vaccine. A elderly relative died from covid earlier this year and that is enough to confirm that the vaccine is essential. I wasn't worried about it until all the panic this week. But the statistics show that the risk is minimal. I will report my experience later ( jab is at 5.30pm).8

My jab is at two today. Can't wait. Just having a cuppa with a slice of pear loaf made with some of the rescued pears from yesterday. Delicious. It was supposed to be pear and ginger but I forgot to put the ginger in the mix.Spend less now, work less later.8
