I've heard that it can be helpful to take paracetamol an hour before your jab and then as required after and it is likely to reduce any side effects. I will be doing that before my 2nd jab.10

It took about 9 hours before I felt any effects-shivers and a headache- from my jab and a couple of my friends were about the same.9

I had to buy milk again, my kids have suddenly started drinking loads of it!On the plus side i got some lovely y/s bits for dinner and finally got some bleach! It’s been out of stock every time I’ve been shopping for weeks! I considered buying 2 but of course that’s the problem isn’t it, people buying more than they need.Life happens, live it well.11

We had out jab five weeks ago, one sore arm and one headache all for less than 24hrs. So pleased, very well organised and we felt safe. However, I don't know if I'm ready to venture out yet after a year of self isolating due to age, the only trips out were essential hosp appts for heart check-ups which fortunately is still working
due to a fabulous team at the Royal Brompton. I think I may wait until after my second jab before going out. maybe it's just a case of losing self confidence.
Back to frugality. I'm still moving logs under cover so they can dry out for next winter. at the moment it's oak which is so heavy. We had to fell 3 x oaks as they were threatening to come down on the stable block where the stallions are. DH fells, chainsaws and splits them with the log splitter on the back of the tractor but it's my job to move them undercover. He has machinery to help him whereas I just have a bad backI'm convinced that lighting the woodburner with it's oven and cooking on it most days must be saving money on fuel - electric and oil - but I'm at a loss to see how and where !!

Well the jab is done. It was the AstraZeneca. I honestly just feel grateful and relieved to know that I am moving towards seeing my elderly parents for the first time since last August. We live far away and the tiers then lockdown prevented a visit.9

I’m in the novavax trial and had no side effects which makes me think I got the placebo! I’ll find out when I get invited to the NHS programme as the trial unblind you then but it’ll be a while as I’m 32 with no health issues. Hope everyone’s sore arms etc calm down shortly and glad that more and more of us are starting to be protected.

Fortunately I had very little side effects from vaccine - a bit tired and a bit shivery but I could easily have been tired and felt cold anyway regardless of the vaccine. I think we are all aware of potential side effects so we are noticing them. Like others I'm just grateful to have had the vaccine.
my freezer surprise dinner was not what I was expecting. 🙀 I dug out a beef stew, a soup and a chicken curry when I had planned on finding a chilli or a bolognese. Anyway I had the chicken curry with some samosas I found loitering in the same freezer drawer.I ordered a few seeds from bargain seeds - heard about them on this site and they certainly seem good value. I'm not a great gardener but I'll give it a go. Some spring onions, radishes, coriander and basil.8 -
My kitchen unit arrived! 2 days early.I’m so excited! Dd and I put it together and broke up the cardboard which was enough for tonight.Tomorrow I have a busy day so it’s in my living room till Thursday!Mum popped by with a bag full of food and books. I scanned the books on my selling app, that’s £5:58 for 7 books. I could’ve got more on eBay for one potentially but I wanted a quick turnaround with out cluttering up my house.Life happens, live it well.7
