@Deleted_User we use an Amazon fire TV stick which you can have all the apps for various TV services on including the free ones from channel 4 and iPlayer. Just a one off cost for the stick + paying for Netflix each month, you don’t need to subscribe to Amazon prime TV if you don’t want to but you can use the stick to buy or rent digital movies from them.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

@Deleted_User - Well done of cancelling Sky mid contract; that will be a good saving over the year. We use a Humax box and use it for FreeSat (you can get all the free to air Sky channels, as long as you've still got the Sky dish, which I assume you have); FreeView and can use it for IPlayer and Netflix. We also have a Firestick but have to admit we very rarely use that, in fact I can't remember the last time we used it - probably when we went away in our motorhome last summer. We're on our 2nd box now but that's over a period of about 10 years I think and it's small enough to be able to take away with you if you go on holiday in the UK. We bought ours from John Lewis and had it delivered. They range in price but start at £180 so I think they are good value as you can also record on them.

Thanks guys. I already pay for Netflix so if I got a fire stick @Bluegreen143 would that be just a one off cost? Thank you x@joedenise thank you, I did briefly look at Humax boxes and wondered how good they were. Thank you xx8

@Deleted_User that’s right, think it’s about £40 for a stick and you can get freeview, iPlayer, all 4, YouTube apps etc for free tv and can then pay monthly on top if you want to subscribe to services like Netflix, Amazon prime tv, now TV, Disney+ etc. And as I said if you want to you can use it to individually rent/buy lots of movies or box sets too though this isn’t always the cheapest, but sometimes movies can be rented for £3 or so. We use our friend’s Netflix, pay for Amazon prime and also pay for Disney + but think we will cancel that.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

@Deleted_User if you ever feel the urge for movies a now TV movies pass is cheaper for a one off month. Discovery + is good too at £4:99 for loads of content.I’m on a 7 day free trial.I have a smart TV (was a gift!) which makes life easy as I just have apps on it. But maybe you can get something on Facebook market placeLife happens, live it well.8

We have recently done the same and cancelled sky. We now just use the fire stick. Its brilliant and i wouldn't go back really. You can get so much on it. We have amazon prime but if there are films or tv shows that my sons like that aren't included with prime subscription I have been buying them from amazon to keep on the prime app which you can do even if you dont have prime yourself. I think its £39.99 at the moment from most places.8

@Bluegreen143
We did valentines this year and we don’t as a rule, it seemed right after being apart so much this past year. It was actually really nice. Not a big spend but a welcome gestureLife happens, live it well.10 -
@willow_loulou I think it’s lovely to celebrate things like this and it’s good proof that you don’t need to spend a fortune to have a lovely time unlike what the shops and advertising will tell us!Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

If you do freeze them can you let me know if it works please? If it does then I may well make a batch to freeze so I can just get them out of the freezer and reheat in the microwave rather than having to wait 3/4 hour for my breakfast!‘It never hurts to keep looking for sunshine’ - Winnie the Pooh8
