id be happy if the covered the cost of the lowest Samsung 55” they offer but they seem pretty stubborn on the matter
In my case, because I had One connect box / 60W speakers - which usually are present in high-end models - so they gave me 100% back. ( think I was lucky). Always choose a model with distinctive features.
Ask them what like to like TV they want to offer - and then compare with https://www.displayspecifications.com/ and get the closest matching TV .
Check Key Features/ Specs as :Refresh rate ( vertical freq refresh rate)Display areaPeak brightnessInput lag -Audio output(Watts)Power consumption.
Share your TV model just to see if anythings stands out.
I have now bought a Samsung QE65Q90T which does not have 1 connect box but other distinct features. Happy to refer someone as Samsung is offering £200 to share..
my old tv that they have also had the one connect box, it was an 8000 series SUHD so just below the flagship model which is why I’m pretty !!!!!! that I’d been told they would make an offer to replace the tv and they’ve made a pretty poor offer even for a 5 year old tv in my opinion. They haven’t responded to my messages in 2 days this is the !!!!!! take I’ve had to work with for 6weeks now
https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/model/b66529a [One connect,speakers - 40W]
Note the key differences. Features you have. Raise another dispute( they can raise any many) and make the agent write the differences. Give them 4 days and then chase. . Even today QE65Q90T and QE6595T - one of the key differences is one connect box with the price diff of £200.
Ask for a FULL refund only or TV with one connect box or qe55q95tatxxu ( give them product code)

their last message wasHi Carl, I can assure you we are not ignoring your messages. We on Social Media are not an instant chat. We have to work through messages/posts in the time/date order that they are sent in.As the item is over 6 months old, we as the retailer can offer the resolution in line with consumer law. We have offered depreciated credit. If you would like to accept this, please do confirm the best daytime contact number to reach you on.- Shauna0 -
T&Cs that applied at that point:
"Product replacement
If we cannot repair your Product you will be given a voucher to obtain a replacement in one of our stores. The value will be based on an equivalent or similar specification product up to a maximum of your original Product purchase price. In some instances, at our discretion a replacement product may be given instead of a voucher. Apple iPads will be replaced by an Apple authorised replacement product."

Well I finally got a revised offer for my TV that was written off by currys which I’ve accepted is the best I’ll get, an £849 gift voucher for a 5year old TV that was at the end of its warranty. Bare in mind they offered £280 bacs transfer originally and have argued over and over that It was still under the warranty as they kept telling me it only had 1 year warranty. Chuffed that I kept on at them I certainly felt like giving in. Anyone reading this in the same situation I was in keep at it! If you believe your in the right then don’t give up. I contacted CAB and the ceo email address. I don’t know if any of this helped in the end or if it was just the constant chasing and arguing. Either way I’m very happy
