Offer "drop hands" ie you both walk away, bearing your own costs
This has real value as you expect to prevail on the strength of your defence, at which point you will claim your usual cost s of attendance as well as seeking your full costs due to their unreasonable behavior in....
Why go in with your best offer? Thats not how negotation works. Go with what is best for you5 -
Don't write offering money. Court hearings are an hour phone call these days and don't stop you being at work, in most cases. Carry on as planned!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Fair play, I’ll just acknowledge their payment and offer them to chance to “drop hands”, and not take this to court as their witness statement lacks any weight (without going into details). Assuming my defence is alright, and I haven’t shot myself in the foot haha!nosferatu1001 said:Offer "drop hands" ie you both walk away, bearing your own costs

I emailed them back. Is it worth sending them a letter as well? Just so they can’t say I never replied to them with a counter offer. They say they don’t reply to emails but they have done in the past. They just seem to pick and choose when it comes to communication.BenjiH23 said:

I’ve been thinking ‘why should I bother?’ through every interaction I’ve had with VCS if I’m being completely honest haha! But as long as it won’t get held against me in court.nosferatu1001 said:No, why would you bother? Email is perfectly fine.

It won't as long as you can prove it was sent , evidence is key in court matters , so making sure you have done your part with evidence to prove it on the day of Reckoning is your biggest job hereBenjiH23 said:
