Keep those overpayments coming, everyone! We're super close to £300k - I wonder whether we can reach that by the end of the month...

Hi Julicorn #57 - Reporting back as of 28/04.  My approach (as an older poster with quite limited OP opportunities) is using my pension pot to build up a Mortgage Neutral pot (DIY offset, with tax and company contribution advantages)
    • I have added (/overpaid) an additional £6600 since Jan 2021, £2300 in April
    • My normal mortgage payments are £5230 since Jan 2021, £1500 in April
    • I am now £89K away from being Mortgage Neutral
    • Current target for Mortgage Neutral is Jun-23.

I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine
  • #35 reporting an overpayment of £334 for April
    Thanks Julicorn

Hi there, great progress! Just one little check, if I enter £2,300 in April, I make your total for the year £6,614, so a little bit higher than what you wrote here. Would you be able to check for me if that's correct? Thank you.
