Hi, can I join please? We’ve just moved and increased our mortgage amount and term, now to start clearing it off!I have no idea realistically what our target should be, we’re still trying to figure out our monthly finances after job changes and increased utilities!I have found, through painful experience, that the most important step a person can take is always the next one.

Hi Julicorn #57 - Reporting back as of 31/03 - sorry been a bit quiet. My approach (as an older poster with quite limited OP opportunities) is using my pension pot to build up a Mortgage Neutral pot (DIY offset, with tax and company contribution advantages)
- I have added (/overpaid) an additional £4314 since Jan 2021
- My normal mortgage payments are £5230 since Jan 2021
- I am now £92K away from being Mortgage Neutral
- Current target for Mortgage Neutral is Jul-23.
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine1 - I have added (/overpaid) an additional £4314 since Jan 2021
