When I awake in the morning my mortgage will move into the next 'bracket' from 70k to 60k.... not by much but I'm very chuffed. Hoping that I can get to 65k in the next 5 months.
@f0xh0les... I will be having a happy dance in the morning!

Setting a small-ish target as we're in the middle of trying to change over to a repayment mortgage as soon as we can. If we can pay an extra £200 per month then that's £2000 from now till December.Your number is 122. Just post your overpayments in here whenever you make them

Bored said:Hi Julicorn,
Could I please join the challenge with a target of £5000? I took part in last year's challenge but had to take a break at the end of 2020/start of 2021 to beef up my emergency fund a bit. I'm ready to get back to focusing on the mortgage now with a first overpayment of £500 this month.
Thanks!0 -

Doodlebugs said:Hi, can I join please? We’ve just moved and increased our mortgage amount and term, now to start clearing it off!I have no idea realistically what our target should be, we’re still trying to figure out our monthly finances after job changes and increased utilities!
Just let me know what target you'd like me to note down, even if it's just a placeholder for now, and I'll give you a number then x

I have found, through painful experience, that the most important step a person can take is always the next one.
