Hi julicorn please could I adjust my goal to £3500 for this year since lockdown is changing our ability to overpay.

Thanks

Hi there! I was wondering if I can join you all please?
I did join last year but then found our mortgage didn’t allow overpayments so instead I put the money into a separate account ready for when we could remortgage. We were able to build a reasonable emergency fund last year aswell as further savings and home improvements, and when we remortgaged we put a chunk in and managed to reduce the term from 25 years down to 18 years. I’ve just turned 40 and ideally we would be MF by the time I’m 50. Currently on a 5 year fixed.OP Capped at 10% which is around £9k for this year. Only done £100 this month to test the water (we haven’t even paid the first DD payment yet) and I daily skim my bank account down to nearest £5 which I’m going to put straight to mortgage for time being unless we need to switch it elsewhere to build savings up again.I’m going to make the target for this year £7k.No longer ...tobe! #16 Final total for January £657.93. This should bring me down to under £4 a day in interest. Roll on February.
