    I would love to join this challenge.  Only going to set a small target of £500 for the first year. I have a staggering £274k to pay off!

    #89(but happy to change if needed) I'd like to set my target for 2021 please at 15k. A little ambitious but I'm hoping it will be the year that we become mortgage free but time will tell!

    Target = £12k. 

    We remortgage in July so hoping we can reduce it when we do! 
    Initial 2 year fixed Mortgage (July 2019): £158,747 over 18 years. Overpaid £14,250 in Year 1, £13,400 in Year 2. Total mortgage reduced by £40,790 in 2 years. 

    New Mortgage (five year fix at 1.81%): June 2021
    Current Balance (01/06/2021): £117,957 over 14 years. Total overpayment in 2021 of £13,850. Lapsed tracking! Total Owing November 2022: £100,513. February 2023: £97,535. April 2023: £88,739. July 2023: £87,481. August 2023: £85,512. November 2023: £83,053. 

    Original End date: June 2039. Now June 2035. *GOAL* Mortgage Free by 2030.

  • Good morning, I'd like to join please. Mortgage remaining of just over £30 000 and would like it gone asap. We currently overpay by £560 a month but would like to add an extra £1000 to this most months if all goes well. this adds up to a very ambitious £18 720 but I think I'll aim for £15 000 for some wriggle room. We're with Heliodor - moved from NRAM so can overpay what we want but the downside is we're still on 4.5% (or there about) interest.

    Savings £9671 / £20 000 goal
