Their last reply to me was:Dear customer,
Thanks for your message.
We are sorry but the version you received is the only version we can supply.
After discussing with our manager, we found that we could provide a bigger refund of 20 GBP, would you accept this offer?
If you would still like to return it, please provide a photo of the item that we can check the appearance of it for our company to keep a record.
If it's unopened, please provide a photo of the package.
It's the rules of our company to ask for a photo when accepting the return, please help us.
After receiving the photo, we will provide the return address for you to return it for the refund.
Thank you for contacting us and we wish you have a good day.
Should there be any problem, please don't hesitate to contact us. We are glad to serve you.
Regards,
WalterThis talk about if the box has been opened is a little annoying, especially when my opening email to them said:
The box has been opened, obviously, so the seal has been broken. I tried the watch on but then when i noticed the region did not show UK i put the watch back in the box.Amongst other stuff. And then in their reply to that they asked about whether the box has been opened, so i replied:As per my previous email, yes the box has been opened. This is the only way I could inspect the watch. I was not aware of the difference in region. The watch was received yesterday so has not been worn.As well as some other stuff.
For those debating the returns https://www.techinthebasket.com/returns, I honestly don't know what is correct and what isn't. That's just the link.
The page there seems to suggest (to me at least) that i can return it for whatever i feel like. It doesn't say that you can't return it unless there's something wrong with it. It just says you can return it within 14 days.
Now as i've broken the seal i don't know where that leaves me as it can't be sold as a brand spanking new one, yet at the same time i can't inspect it without breaking the seal.

But now i'm wondering if i should just keep this. I was between this and a Fitbit Versa 3. Bit of a price difference. It seems i'm missing out on the SPay, ECG & Blood Pressure readings. They're offering me this at £258. To get those features (because flashing is highly likely going to lead to bricking) would mean returning this and then shelling out £420 from a trusted company (or whatever the full price is). Just over £150 more. So while it's crap that i've made this error, it would be better than returning it and having no watch and no refund (don't know how likely that is - whether Amex would be able to sort me out there).
