Does it not apply to items such as these (because obviously you have to break the packaging seal to open the item up so therefore can't be sold as brand new again as the seal has been broken) but only to i don't know, items like clothing say - as that can be sold as new providing the tags are still intact.Clutching at straws maybe but am trying anything really.Forget the eBay experience you mentioned earlier. 99.9% of buyers win with eBay, even if they are 100% in the wrong. You purchased a grey import, highlighted on their website for a much lower price. You will have to jump many hurdles with a s75 claim, and I believe you would lose. The retailer has not hidden the fact these are grey imports. You can return the item under your Consumer Rights. The reatiler can deduct from the refund if your use has been excessive upto 100%.

UK does not have ECG/Blood Pressure. The only option missing would be Samsung Pay.JustAnotherSaver said:camelot1971 said:What features are unavailable in the UK? Usually, grey imports are better because they don't get subject to EU requirements! From what i have read...Samsung PayECG & blood pressure feature.I don't know if that is it and nothing else or if there's other features missing that i'm not yet aware of.Now i know some would say Samsung Pay ... use your phone, or the bank card itself. ECG and blood pressure are you going to use it? Buy a blood pressure machine if you're that bothered. But at the end of the day the watch has these features (UK version at least) so I would like them to be there. How much i'll use these features, i don't know as i've not had the chance yet. That's at the moment. Not to say it wont be released.Got in touch with Amex. They didn't say i can't put in a dispute. They said they'd help me how to do it and gave me instructions on how to.Maybe the wrong forum to ask, maybe i'd be better in techie forum, but do you know what all this ATF3, ATF6 and ATF9 is all about when it comes to changing the region on your watch?0 -
ATF3 6 9 reads as possible firmware updates .But difficult to find much information .Grey import return/ refund if that fails then start messing with firmware that may brick your device .0

Well they've got back to me after 'speaking with their manager'. They can offer me £20 refund to keep the watch which puts it at a £258 deal.
They went on to mention returns. What worries me is that they keep asking if the box has been opened despite 1) how else would I know this about the watch and more importantly 2) me telling them twice that it has.
They want photos of the watch and box - fair enough. I just wonder if they refund and if they don't, how likely I'll get my cash back. Of course I would return via recorded means. I don't know if signed for or special would be best on a nearly £300 item.
On the one hand I think we'll I have lived without Samsung pay on a watch for this long and how much will I use those other sensors and is this worth £150 (rough difference between this and a brand new one) but then on the other hand I think we'll it's supposed to come with all this other stuff so you're not getting a fully featured watch at the end of the day and while I may not use these things all the time, I would use them.0 -
UK regs don't apply to stuff you've imported. The relevant consumer laws will be whatever applies in Hong Kong.JustAnotherSaver said:What's the situation regards distance selling regs?

My worry would be , you send it back paying for postage .HK supplier says we never received it .0

My worry is that the seller doesn't even say anything never mind that they didn't receive it.JJ_Egan said:My worry would be , you send it back paying for postage .HK supplier says we never received it .
I don't know how much a special delivery receipt will help me out in that kind of situation regards actually getting my refund. I don't know if such a receipt coupled with the fact I paid on credit card could maybe help me out. I also don't know if it could help me out... Do I just need to rely on sending it (like an eBay seller) or do I need to hope they receive it too (maybe their returns address is bogus because they don't do returns?). davidmcn said:
Thats what I was wondering. They seem to operate out of the UK yet they have ties with Hong Kong so I wasn't sure what laws would cover it.

No they don't. They have contracted Trackbay to handle their returns as do a lot of other far East companies that do not have a UK presence. The company itself doesn't have a presence.born_again said:

Clearly stats a UK returns address.
As that is where OP said it was bought from, then return it to them and let them deal.Life in the slow lane0
