I think I am going in that direction. I have 9 months left. That's £9. Plus there will be a £15 cease charge which doesn't apply if you leave now. That's an additional £24 or £2.66 per month. For me that's a total of £17.66 per month. I can't seem to find a similar speed (17-30 Mbps) for that price.pallyman said:I will pay the£1 a month as with the £120 bill credit its still a good deal even though its annoying.0 -

If you're switching to another provider using the openreach network you just need to place the order with them and they will contact Shell. But knowing shell you'd probably want to email them and tell them so they don't pull a fast one lat onNorman_Castle said:If I need to call them to tell them I'm leaving how exactly does it work with regard to timescales? There's a Talktalk deal ending on Monday, can I sign up for this then call or email Shell to tell them I'm leaving? Is this accepted as long as you contact them before the change takes place which is normally about 10 days. I'd be contacting Shell on the same or next day that I contact Talktalk requesting the change to them.Shells price change email also states you can email them to leave. I'd prefer to do this, any suggestions on wording?"You can cancel your service within the next 30 days without early cancellation charges. Not happy with the change? So can I just send an email stating I'm leaving because of the price increase and let talktalk take over my line in 10 days or do I need shell to agree or confirm I can leave before arranging the move?JJ_Egan said:mohammed1111 said:

there is a link on one of the threads where it states in there T&C you will not be charged the £15 cease fee if you joined through MSE so i will be arguing with them if/when they try and take it..

Just go to T&C and scroll to the bottom.VXman said:

I asked Shell energy about refunds of bill credits if I leave in the 30 days allowed. I have had my £120 credited which means I am currently £95 in credit. This is their reply. I am not sure what the answer is - it is not really clear. Any thoughts?

Hello ********
Thank you for contacting Shell Energy Broadband.
It states within our pricing that promotional credit does not get refunded as cash, this is also advised with Money Savings Expert the third party you signed up with. There will be no cash or credit alternative available.
Therefore the credit would remain on your account and cover any future bills up until the point you decided to end our services if you are looking to switch away.0
