Read my reply again , read the court order , read the timeline of events by Bargepole

    Thanks understood.

I'll confirm I won't be able to attend now.

PS. If I wanted to pay the fine how would I do that?
It will likely be a telephone hearing and you indicated  dates on your DQ , so doesn't make any sense to us

They could give you a date like say 16th August , but may send the court order this week , meaning the deadline would be say the beginning of August , also meaning it's about 14 weeks away , not 14 days

So how do you suddenly know that you cannot attend ? You do not even have a date !!
Why throw it all away at this stage ?

There was never a fine in the first place , but the charge of up to £100 indicated on the PCN and signage has gone way past it's payment deadline , so no , you cannot pay the PCN , you are in the midst of a £250 live court case !!  Get a grip !

Nobody would pay say £250 to make it go away instead of say £190 if you lose , that doesn't make any sense either !!

Wait for the next court order and then come back for assistance

Everything goes to the court AND the claimant. Obviously you need to keep a copy for the hearing which will probably be by 'phone.

As soon as you get the scammer's WS and Exhibits, please show it to us: ALL of it. Only redact YOUR personal data. I cannot stress the highlighted words enough. PLease tell us if the scammers have redacted anything. Upload it to Dropbox or similar and post the link here.

Please also show us your WS and exhibits using the same method before you submit it. Hopefully you will get to see the scammer's WS so we can check it over and give you pointers to include in yours.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it.

It's scary and was thinking to just pay but as mentioned above I will get a grip and defend my claim!

Should I wait for my hearing date before sending in my WS (also in case I get to the see the claimants WS)?

Yes wait , because that deadline is the court date minus 14 days

They do not want it yet , courts have procedures and work to deadlines and targets

Yes of course, but you would be wise to be thinking about it now and maybe even writing it up now whilst the details of the incident can still be remembered.
  • Hi there,

Today I received a notice of trial date.

Just wondering do most claimants pay the court trial fee (as required 1 month before the court date)

Also is there any good threads here on what to expect next?

    Thank you

Depends on the name of the claimant , because it varies greatly , but PCM UK tend to follow it through

Plenty , read all the completed court cases over the last 20 months , seeing what they did , what was submitted and their court reports etc , nothing better than reading the epilogues !

To find them look for a hit record title by Queen , the initials are , AOBTD !! It's on every one after the feedback

The NEWBIES thread 2nd post tells you all about what happens when.  Examples of good recent WS and evidence bundles are in the threads by @Nosy and @jrhys.
