Is there not a paragraph on your Notice of Allocation something like:
Each party must deliver to every other party and to the court office copies of all documents on which he intends to rely at the hearing no later than [ . . . ] [14 days before the hearing].
    Might be on the back.
Those documents you intend to rely on are your Witness Statement and evidence.

Attached is the letter I received.

Apart from the date on the letter (12th April)  and the date at the end of the letter (25th March 2021), I can not see my hearing date.

NB. I received the letter on 14th April 2021.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Read 2

It says that a further court order will be sent later , so your case is in the queue , wait for that court order and comply with it after receipt

We cannot read number 7) , might be important

The bundle submission date is clearly stated as 14 days before the hearing , stated in 6

    Thanks.

    So to confirm:

    - The date of the court hearing will be sent to be later
    - I have 14 days to reply with the WS once I get the above letter

    Is this correct?

    7) Says the following:

The original documents must be brought to the hearing

I've no idea what you are asking.  The letter tells you that the date of the hearing will be sent later.

    Thanks understood.

I'll confirm I won't be able to attend now.

PS. If I wanted to pay the fine how would I do that?

What do you mean you won't be able to attend, you MUST attend your hearing unless you want to lose.

    It is not a fine.

Why ON EARTH would anyone want to pay £260-odd now, when even if they lose they'd pay less than that because the claim is inflated by £60?

    Apologies for the confusion.

I will be attending the hearing.

At the end of my letter attached above, the date shows 25th March 2021

Am I correct in thinking I need to submit my witness statement to my county court (as well as bring the original to the hearing date)?

I'm reading the bargepol thread below:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5546325/court-claim-procedure-updated-october-2016/p1

    5. The case file will then be transferred to your local County Court, and you will eventually receive a Notice of Allocation, giving you a date and time for the hearing (I'm in the queue so will receive this later). It will also specify a deadline for you to submit a Witness Statement, and any other documents you intend to rely on, usually 14 days before the hearing but sometimes earlier than that. (my letter states 14 days before the hearing) Your Witness Statement can expand upon the points made in your original Defence, and must start with the following "I, Joe Bloggs, of 23 Acacia Avenue, Anytown, AN1 2BC, am the Defendant in this matter, and will say as follows". You should attach to your Witness Statement any evidence to support your assertions, eg photos of signage, etc. Optionally, you may also want to include a Skeleton Argument to flesh out the legal points, or you could include those as part of your Witness Statement.
