It got quite a lot more serious at school this week, I was prepared to pull DD out, thankfully they decided to move the girl into another class.

Dd is still nervous, a group who had been told goodness knows what by the other child have really been very spiteful,  whilst she has a few supportive friends who know the full picture she doesn't want to be talking about things at school so has stayed silent trying to be brave.

I don't really blame her, and am still prepared to move her if she can't bounce back from this but she's agreed to see how the next week or two go.

Uni wise first two graded assignments back, upper 2nd. Such a relief to have passed, could not have managed a resit right now.

Oh dear. I hope it gets better now she’s been moved. I thought it was pretty poor tbh that they chose not to move either of them in the first place. Give it a chance and if it doesn’t improve she maybe better off with a fresh start.

well done on your assignments! I don’t miss that XX

Dd ended up being off school for a few days following the girls move, she was so upset to miss school. She had acid reflux and was in so much pain. She hasn't had it since she was a baby so no idea where it came from.

In other news, dds glasses were renewed,  eyesight had deteriorated rapidly in 6 months, she now needs to wear her glasses for everything. I can't quite believe 15 months ago she had 20/20 vision.

Back into school Monday, so far things seem to be improving.

MSE wise standard payment and regular over payment ongoing to mortgage.
Bank accounts looking shocking with a complete change in diet, 2nd pair of glasses and the extra meds for dd. Just things unbudgeted for really, I was so focused on keeping our bills account ontrack I dipped into mine and for a few hours ended up £5.10 overdrawn! I cannot remember the last time that happened! Quickly remedied with a transfer from savings.
Fingers crossed June is a little easier on the purse!

We went through our house works and decided we don't want to get into debt for the kitchen, but dh wants a more expensive kitchen than I would like. If he's willing to wait and save there's no argument coming from me. Its a good 3 years away whilst we are saving for other things along the way.

So we agreed I can finally replace the cooker that was already here, I would lose the plot continuing on with it. I was so happy to get it ordered, I'm looking forward to more cooking space - present cooker is just under 50cm, with a top grill which means I often burn my hands when stirring pots 😅. DH is going to nudge the cupboards over 5cm to fit a 60cm, and I've opted for ceramic hob, I haven't had one since dd was a baby, around 11 years!
    Soooooo exciting!!

The improvement at school was short lived. Dd had children turn against her, she didn't know them they are in the class the girl has been moved to, saying some truly vile things. They clearly think they are defending their new friend, not realising exactly what went on is the reverse of what they believe.

I just can't send dd in to face that level of hate day in day out.

Never dreamed we would be in this position. We decided to apply for another school, the only other school in our town with spaces, the sooner dd can get back to enjoying school, get back on track for her learning.
We only got confirmation today, so she will start in the week after half term.

Dd seems to be looking forward to the fresh start, she knows only 2 girls at the school, so hopefully being placed with one might make the move a little less daunting.

She usually adapts quickly, fingers crossed we've made the right decision.

    Onwards and upwards 🤞🤞🤞

Aww you poor thing. You’ve done your best for her though. Fingers crossed it’s the making of her school life 🤞🏼 I know it sounds horrible but I can’t stand teen/ tween kids. They can be so nasty and threatening, I find girls especially very intimidating and we have to send our own babies out amongst them.

Fingers crossed for the new term. Hopefully we’ll get a happy update to look forward to x

Not the best financial start to June.
Shelling out for a new uniform 3 months earlier than planned for the school move has wiped out any excess money after bills, well more than wiped out really.
I went as large as I could without drowning her in the hope this will see her through to Christmas.

No house savings or new house purchases this month. Our door and cooker should be delivered this week, that's our work for the month, until we scrape together some more money.

Not all bad really, we are so tired and are looking forward to a few chilled and happy weekends.

    🤞🤞🤞
