No concerns with DH's xray, he has to finish his course of antibiotics and hopefully that'll be that.
I am feeling a little better, making a conscious effort to take a break instead of working through. Aiming for one walk a day if I am working from home.
Have been looking at the local leisure centre to get back onto a weekly exercise course - its all booked up cannot get onto a single class. Not sure if its reduced numbers due to social distancing, or everyone is really keen to get out of the house!

My gym cut class numbers to 50%. So I've found I have to book it as soon as they release classes for the new week in order to be in with a chance. Maybe ask them what time in the morning new class bookings are added?Bottom line;

We had a lovely overdue catch up with family this weekend, had a great time.
Our holiday is fast approaching too, cannot wait!!
We've picked up dds school shoes, just trainers and long sleeve shirts to order then all set for return to school.
Excited for our savings pots that will see a welcome boost end of August.
From that point my Christmas purchases start. Looking forward to getting back out to shops instead of constant online deliveries, no doubt there will be a few orders but am going to do what I can to avoid it, just feel like a change.

Enjoying our little holiday, we are trying to have fun but also not come home financially crippled before pay day...it'll be tight but doable. Helped by finding a lidl to eat in a few days.
We had a break day yesterday, all exhausted from walking around 15- 20k steps a day, it coincided with a rainy day so dd and dh went swimming whilst I pottered around. I browsed mse. I saw a switch offer and decided to go ahead with first ever account switch to bag £125 and 2% interest current ac.
I've never been brave enough to switch through the process fearing direct debit mess ups, but this should be achievable as I only have a few dds to keep track of.
It's been such a great holiday so far, just a couple of days left, hope the sun makes another appearance before we go!MFW

It was lovely to get away from day to day life and just really feel unrushed.
We arrived back and I came down with a horrific cold that's hopefully about to come to an end. I had negative lft tests through work but when I got a temperature added to the mix I thought I should do a pcr test just incase. The test did come back negative thankfully, although I haven't been much fun at all with this cold.
I've perked up a little this afternoon, best I've felt since Monday. Helped DD tidy her toom, spun her bed in a different direction to see if its a better layout for a while.
We cleared things out in the process 2 black sacks of 'tat' and lots of old clothes, its given me some ideas for her birthday and christmas.
My bank switch should go through in the next couple of weeks, I've had the new card, set up online banking and a linked savings account.
Updated my spreadsheet to reflect the transfer.
Payday has arrived should be adding a reasonable amount to our savings pots touch wood no big expenses this month.

Last day off work now most likely until half term.
Feeling 85% back to normal, I can't recall if I have any appointments tomorrow - am hoping I don't, I could do with a couple of days to get my normal voice back!
My christmas / birthday pot has reached 450, both DD and DH have birthdays close to christmas so might still need to top that up over the next couple of pay days.
I have though been organised and started a list - last year excited about the house move and boxes galore I lost track of what I had spent - it wasn't a nightmare but I felt a little out of control not knowing what was what.
DD doesn't need or want anything big or expensive, but it is her 13th birthday so I would like to find something special. I had imagined a 13th birthday party but I am not sure given the recent change of school and covid it would be doable so holding fire on plans certainly until they are all back to school and we know it wont go into another lockdown!

Busy week at work, informed we should be going back into the office 2 days per week by the end of Sept. I'm looking forward to being around others.
Garden wise my runner bean plant has died, we did manage two family meals with the runners happy with that.
Carrotts and cucumbers galore.
Lots of tomatoes still very annoyingly green!!
We also made a few potatoes salads over the summer with home grown potatoes.
Onions and garlic done ok, only had 3 of each should have planted more.
I can't say it was very mse at all but it was a nice hobby over the summer, and it all tasted great.
I'm going to opt to focus on more of few things next year rather than a little of everything I'll also see if I can pick up a raised bed next year, less pots and hopefully easier on my back too.MFW

The weekend has flown.
Yesterday usual overload of housework, today back to studying for the second year of my course.
I didn't need to do a full shop so around half a weeks budget saved. Keeping it in the main account as we went over budget the past few weeks with DH inviting friends over to eat.
Next weekend I have a few friends round the first I've invited to see the house, putting on a little afternoon tea, looking forward to that 😊🍰
