Despite a couple of days off the week has been surprisingly busy, I am more than ready for the weekend.

Planning to meet some friends for brunch tomorrow, then I am officially on wind down mode, no plans, no visitors no extra chores. Just laundry, light housework then the weekend is mine to do zilch!

Well I might if I can motivate myself test out the candle making kit DH got me for my birthday, I love candles and the oils in this set smell lovely, but it takes time so I need to be in a patient mood, if I don't get there this weekend it's something I can do over christmas.

MIL has cancelled her stay over christmas, so it'll be a little quieter still we can maybe use the time to finish painting the kitchen.

We won't me making the extra overpayment planned, our usual £25 has gone out.

Instead I dipped into savings to cover interest chargeable debt on the accounts that have been used for home bits. So remaining debt is all interest free.

My new years resolution is not to put anything on these accounts unless I can pay it off the same month. There's nothing else we really need housewise, every penny will be going starting the windows this year, and building our savings back up. We are aiming for 5k joint savings, and starting on our own pots - not sure how far we will get with windows to be done, but will make a start.

  • Quick review of mortgage account, we've paid £17,163 this year and have been charged 9025 interest that figure I've roughly worked out will go up to 9163 ish before the year is out so £8k will have come off mortgage this year.

Opening mortgage balance on 1st Jan 2022 (pre monthly payment)

    £279396.13 daily interest £24.8.

Our focus next few months is clearing the couple of interest free accounts.

After much debate on when we should get the ball rolling with so much going on, we've decided to kick start the ivf process in March- well  at least the initial assessments. We have between us £7k but still looking to grow this figure as much as we can incase there are unexpected issues.

If it works we will be saving hard for a growing family ❤

If it fails we've agreed due to cost we won't be trying again so will move onto DH's second dream of a motorhome (saving for it at least). If IVF works a motorhome is still a goal but maybe a few years down the line.

Covid has really got us thinking at how short life is and how much we still want to experience together. I don't for one minute expect it'll be easy if IVF fails, we've been through 2 losses we know the pain very well. We also recognise that actually neither of us want to chase something that maybe wasn't meant to be, so the sooner we start the sooner we move forward.

So here we come 2022, let's see what you have got for us 😊🌈🌞

    I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy
