Initial scan isn't keeping me optimistic. I'm not responding to the medication as I was expected to. They have increased my doseage on one - the most expensive vial! If I progress enough we might still make egg collection on planned day, if they want me to proceed a few more days though it might throw our dates and I might need to pay for more medication.

Such a bummer, up until now I've been so optimistic its really shaken me. We don't have the money to use this as a trial run, it will either work or it won't and that will br that.

No positive outcome yet, second scan showed some follicles had grown, others stayed the same. Last chance to continue with increased dose with scan on Monday. If no improvement its cancelled just like that!

I have to be honest, this scenario didn't even enter my head. With us having conceived twice (ectopics)our tests coming back great, both being healthy, our consultant expected us to be at the top % for my age group.

I've read some miraculous growth spurt stories but my optimism has taken a complete nosedive.

Now I'm starting to feel a cold coming on, praying it's not covid 😪

If the clinic cancel due to poor response we've lost the 2k paid out in medicines, 700 initial assessments, 750 for treatment to date. We get back just under 3k.

If God forbid I come down with covid my understanding is they will allow a repeat cycle but again lost medicine money and truth be told, we won't be able to save up 2-3k quickly. Our bills have risen left right and centre, looking at my spreadsheet it would be at least 2 years. I don't have the energy to drag this out for another 2 years.

So despite praying so hard for a good outcome  in my head I know its all over.

It's such a rollercoaster, we did have a sudden growth spurt, a wide range in sizing so one might be too big, 5 look like the might be too small but 3 look like they could be right.

We are going ahead with egg collection tomorrow. Just hoping DH has no issues he came down with the flu last week.

Trying to be positive, praying lots, but not getting too excited as still lots of hurdles cross.

    Thank you.

We are trying to stay optimistic.

No more growth in other follicles so they went for 3 biggest. One ended up being immature, the other 2 good.
One fertilised  if still going strong Monday this will be our 5 day transfer.

I know the odds are against us but we are praying and hoping for the best. Miracles do happen ✨️

Its a relaxed weekend for us the weather has been great allowing enjoyment of the garden which is great.

I got my placement details through seems to be similar to what I do now same setting different local authority but around an hour away.

I'll get my introduction letter sent over on Tuesday and hopefully get to speak to someone before I start. Its an 8 week placement, I do expect the first couple of weeks to be hard work getting to know everyone/ own processes bit I hope after that it might feel a little less pressure given we won't have the additional 10-20 hours a week homework to fit in around a full time job.

It is nerve wracking being a new starter again, but I just need to keep in mind  I am there as a student. I will miss my lovely team but I'm sure the weeks will fly by!

I need to get organised have all the documents ready that I need.
