So I guess a saw with 'a bevel' is also a 'compound saw', whether it's specifies or not, so I'll have one of those then
Why are you guessing when there is a nice and clear illustration just a comment or two before?  To compound usually means to add something to something else.  So a Compound saw can Mitre AND ON TOP OF THAT it can ALSO bevel (single bevel will only 'lean over' one way, double bevel will lean over either way).  So, anything advertised as a Mitre saw is making it obvious it can ONLY Mitre.  A saw that can do more than one thing would likely make it obvious it can do all sorts of tricks like swivel AND lean over, and call itself a COMPOUND saw

Look at the list! In some cases they include the word "compound" in the title and in some cases they don't, hence my whole question and confusion. It now transpires that the word "compound" is implied if it has a bevel and so absolutely redundant in ask cases, I guess!
