Happy New Year to all!
I am currently in the process of filing a SAR to the solicitors that made the claim against me. Do I have the right to request evidence used against me including the initial notice to keeper directly from the claimant (in this case Gladstone Solicitors)?
I have also requested information from DVLA to find out when the claimant requested my details from them.
I have done a bit of reading on the parking cowboys website + what I have read on here and I think I have a decent grasp on what I am supposed to be looking for so as to successfully challenge the PCN. Note that I was only the keeper and not the driver at the time of the breach. I now know that I can be held responsible regardless.
Now what I understand from my latest GFOJ is that I have to pay the full claim sum (£243.85) as a pending amount, provide a defence for the judge to consider setting aside the order and also provide a full defence against the initial claim to which no hearing has been scheduled.
The deadline is 4pm, 8th of January 2021 and I will need just a bit more time to get hold of the needed information to build my final defence. Is it unreasonable for me to ask for an extension at this point?
The hearing was on the 1st of December 2020, the letter was issued on the 17th of December, I received it on the 21st. Also, the date is written wrongly as it states that the deadline for submission is 8th of January 2020 (if that matters). Is it possible to ask for said extension 2 days before deadline? I suppose I could obtain the information in a couple of weeks but seeing as we are in a national lockdown I fear that my request will have to endure more than that.0 -
Here is the order again so that you don't have to scroll back:
