I have an independent electrical shop around the corner from me over the years I have bought my TV, fridge freezer, Vaccum and microwave from them. They are brilliant!

I used to be all for supporting local businesses but this pandemic has put me off. I’m in a rural area and in the vulnerable category. The shops here won’t offer delivery, even when I offered a larger delivery fee than the big supermarkets charge. They won’t even offer click&collect! The way I see it, if they want to be supported then they need to be supporting their customers too. They’re not charities and I don’t see why I should make an effort to give them my money. Without Asda and Amazon I don’t know how I would have managed.3

I bought a pair of shoes as a present for Christmas from Sports Direct and need to change to half a size bigger. My intention was to change in store but now I am unable to do that due to Covid restrictions. I am now told I have to pay postage to return these shoes. Do I have rights to free postage as I am unable to go to the shop as it is closed.

Looks like this scheme is being deferred until the next financial year.

I did think they wouldn't give them until the end of the current lockdown. The health minister basically saying it would not be ending in February. No good giving if the shops are closed.

Aye, it'd be silly handing them out now, I agree. Just passing on the news for anyone who missed it.1

They announced on the local news this morning what you linked.yesterday0 -
So this has popped up again. They are not giving out immediately and want the rush to the shops to calm down. You will get £75 or £100, but still no more info on where they can be used? Shops only not online of course but otherwise nothing.
