Don't open the door. Full stop. We are in the middle of a pandemic for goodness' sake!!

Open the door and say the same as I do to any unsolicited callers, "Whatever you are selling, I'm not interested. Goodbye!"
That's a bit wordy! ;-) I've got it down to "Not interested thanks", with a sympathetic smile and shut the door..

You don't have to register with them as not needing a license, there is no legal requirement no matter how much they try to hint at you and write in big red capital letters. And you don't need to respond to their stupid letters where they threaten to come and inspect your house. As others have said, they can't come in even if they did show up, they would need a warrant, and no judge is ever going to give them a warrant because they will have no evidence that you're doing anything wrong.

Tear up their stupid bullying letters and bin them. I've had them sending me letters for four years. They have never made good on their idiotic threats to come to my door. The TV license pigs make money out of fooling people into thinking they need to pay when they do not. They are profiting over scaring people with legal mumbo jumbo and the number of people who unnecessarily pay it out of fear or lack of understanding is very sad.
