Unplug The constant buzz or ring of your phone creates micro stressors that can drain the adrenals. Designate quiet times when your phone is on silent or aeroplane mode.
Eat plant based dinners Plant based meals are easier to digest (compared to meat). This means less sleep disruption and a happy digestive system while you get much needed rest.
Practice three part breathing
Just be happy. It drives people crazy.
I can't decide if people who wear pyjamas in public have given up on life or are living it to its fullest

I have just skimread above posts - and the word that popped out was - unplug, I'm on an other day of remote teaching - plug in, switch off - switch on plug in, in which ever order - for students it seems to be plug in switch off - their initiative! I love my students - right now they're drawing circles and spirals around the human body!
And my brain is spinning like a top - making everything look a bit like a blur. Can't wait for next Friday! Will def have unplugged days over Christmas.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Still on NSD No 7. Ordered my last three Christmas presents for delivery.
I was up really early and got lots done including defrosting both freezers and posting my Christmas cards. It might be a bit early but given the problems we've been having maybe wise. Still no sign of the prescription. In fact, no sign of any postman. My parcel was delivered last night but one Himself is waiting for is "running late". Supposed to come today but tracking shows it's in Birmingham and has been since December 7. It's my Christmas presents so if it doesn't arrive the Boy can sort it out for him on Sunday.
Heard back from all my various relatives which was really nice.
Pizza for tea and then I'm off to bed with a book whilst Himself watches the football.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -
Thanks @apple_muncher and @f0xh0les. ❤️
The job ends in Jan. Fortunately or unfortunately we prepared for it which means we wouldn’t qualify for UC.
Such a difficult time to get another job which is very scary. But I am reminding myself that there are many people in similar or worse situations who have not been in a position to save for it! Will add a bit more to the emergency fund from the last wage payments that come in.

Evening all, hugs to those who need them and even those who may not.
Went for a swim again last night, really enjoyed it and my back and hip felt great after. Definitely thinking a membership is going to be better financially if I continue to find it beneficial.
Plodding on through the week, got a ys Victoria sponge today, popped it in the freezer so OH doesn't know about it until such time as I decide it's needed!
Not much else to say, we were meant to find out if our jobs were safe yesterday but the CEO had a more important meeting to go to so ours got cancelled... what can you do? I'm looking around at other jobs but would lose London weighting which is a hefty chunk...
Anyway, Friday tomorrow, last volunteering morning until January so early start for me.7 -
Today I am grateful for my job, for the school having hardly been touched by covid thus far, for some extra work tomorrow, for collating chocs+ planted bulbs into 8 presents for work colleagues for under £13, for getting to the gym.

Thursday- NSD 6/15, something to be said for working "all the hours" - no time to spend any money 🤣.
f0xh0les- love the only worry during banking hours advice.
Grateful today for my twinkly lights that are twinkling beautifully, my cat seems to have "grown up" and now she's a sensible 6 she no longer feels the need to play with all the tree decorations constantly, a scented candle making the house smell gorgeous, banana muffins using up the "gone a bit bad" bananas and some wrapped parcels under the tree building up the excitement for DD.5 -
@ldee2111 - apply anyway, they might pay his 'stamp' while he is looking, or you could get a discount on the c-tax, it is all silly piddley little things, but worth doing.

Our trial of a one wage budget seems to be working ok this month although we’re already a little over in food spending. The other things I’ll need to find out is what direct debits OH has and what we do about those - I know my wage won’t cover them all. Things like mobile phone, subscriptions, memberships, etc. Have I mentioned before that OH is not frugal?! He’s not going to like it when I suggest he cancels his A_Prime! Might be better to say ‘here’s some fun money - use it how you wish.’NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸6
