EBay managed payment

I'm confused.Just tried to change to managed payments and I get to the the bit where you enter your bank account number and sort code and it says:Tick this box to confirm you're the account holder and are the sole person required to authorise debits on this account.
It's a joint account and the only bank account I have.
Should I just tick the box anyway?
Of course, the name on the bank account doesn't match the name on my eBay account because the bank account is Mr X & Mrs Z Pollycat.
My debit card is in my name which matches my eBay account.
I'm sure I'm not the only person selling on eBay who only has a joint bank account.
Thanks

Joint accounts can be set up for one person or requiring both people to set up a direct debit. As long as you can set one up on your own you can tick the box.2

All you can do is try adding your bank account, they will soon tell you if they won’t accept it. People had varying degrees of problems when MP first launched, it either went through immediately (as it did for me) or else they went through endless circles of having the paperwork turned down because they registered on eBay as Jackie when they are in fact Jacqueline , however it seemed to become more user friendly after that first wave of sign ups.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. @ Boojewels, Soolin & SteviebabesThanks all for your help.I entered my bank details and got an immediate response, same as Boojewels.I guess they'll tell me soon enough if they don't like it.I'm just a private seller listing my own stuff that I no longer want and if they don't sell, I either give them away to family/friends or charity shop them. This change is a bit of a pain for me because I've used my Paypal account as my 'treat' account where I sell stuff and get a credit to my Paypal account and then use my Paypal balance to buy more stuff that takes my fancy. But I'm sure I'm in the minority.1

You can always add the sale proceeds to your PayPal account from bank account once they arrive.
Sure it's an extra step but same result2 -
I'm the same @Pollycat - I've always kept my PayPal account as a separate bubble from household finances and I was happy with how it worked - for me. Like any change, I'm sure we'll get used to it - and there are certainly some ticks in the plus column - but if I'd had the choice, I would have stayed as I was, because it just worked for me.1
