EBay managed payment

As Soolin has said, withdrawing money from PayPal didn't protect you from a case being opened on eBay and them claiming money back from you.robertkidd said:I get that it isn’t a cheque, but my concern is if the payment can be reclaimed by a fraudulent buyer before it has been passed to my Bank. This wasn’t a problem with the PayPal system where it was available for withdrawal immediately.
I have looked on the help for sellers section on eBay for guidance on this but it still refers to PayPal and doesn’t seem to have been updated to reflect the changes.0 -
Thanks for the replies, I guess using PayPal gave a false reassurance that money was safely in your bank because of the immediate payment system, when it could be reclaimed anyway through the same channels as now.
I know I’m not the only one to question this as can be seen on other forums where sellers are talking of increasing their delivery time to make sure “the money is in” !0 -
I think some people are over thinking aspects of the new system and not understanding it properly, which I am seeing across many forums.1

I see its all change for sellers on ebay now:
https://sellercentre.ebay.co.uk/selling/managed-payments?targetgroup=C2C
And selling fees have increased.

Overall the fees aren't increasing, just instead of paying 10% to eBay and 30p plus 2.8% to PayPal, you now pay the full amount (12.8% plus 30p) to eBay, the cost of selling won't really change.
There are several other threads all about managed payments on here too.1 -
I have merged your post with the main thread about managed payments .ChangFai said:I see its all change for sellers on ebay now:

From a sellers point of view it no longer matters at all as once on managed payments EBay handle all the payments.ChangFai said:
