MIL passed to DCBL now to Connexus 4 years later

Well I’ve never had rent arrears and it can only be related to this. I have attached the letter below, hope it is clear enough.Umkomaas said:Now almost 4 years later I received a letter from Connexus saying Next Step Action. The have given me 14 days and if no payment received they ‘may pass the account their field department who may send it to a doorstep representative to visit me before it is passed to legal to carry out a pre legal action report’.Can we see a redacted copy of their letter please? Are you sure it's related to a parking charge, because a quick scan through Google and their website suggest they're into housing rent arrears collection. Or do we have yet another snout in the private parking trough?

See what their next move might be.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Is the o/p based in Northern Ireland because the debt collectors in that letter are from Coleraine. If so, different jurisdiction...2

I say that is not about a private parking charge, because PPCs are not allowed to assign a debt to MIL.
Must be about something else.
Email and ask them, what is this scam letter about and what do the likes of MIL have to do with anything?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As above, this feels like something else
If this is a simple debt, then more than 6 years have passed. But again need to know country
OP - youre giving us half a story here, and its like getting blood from a stone.2 -
It is parking related. I've seen a few of these all in the last week.
All the same amount.......
That should be the immediate give away for people here

But MIL are not allowed to have private parking data unless they are just acting as debt crawlers, in which case ignore it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The OP could respond asking why they are chasing an alleged debt that at best was unlawfully "assigned" to MIL X years ago, and why they believe this is not subject to the limitations act?4

Ah, so you might expect either someone representing a doorstep or someone representing a field. Will the latter represent a verdant green pasture dotted with shy Jacobs sheep, or even Pygmy goats, or the currently trendy Llamas or Alpacas? Will there be an impressive but discrete Ha-Ha between the representative and the aminals?lottiemay said:

Perhaps instead you should expect fields full of gentle but intimidating Charolais moo cows? Just remember, it is okay to cross a male British white-cross Friesian bull with a Charolais cow, but never introduce a Charolais bull to a shy innocent Guernsey heifer.
