    Thankyou, seeing it as an early Christmas present. We've signed loads of things too, so many forms and stuff! I think we are pretty much at the same stage as you, the solicitor is off now until 4th Jan so hoping to be able to exchange contracts then and get a completion date for early Jan too! What a relief!

    10/11 - hard credit search (ClearScore)
    13/11 - application cancelled due to wrong address submitted by MA
    16/11 - application re-submitted

     We have contacted our solicitor today as haven't heard anything since before Christmas. We've signed everything they've given us and know all the enquires are back so hopefully they'll reply and tell us we're ready to exchange... Not sure what else there is to do 🤷

    Ours has been airless slack since Christmas, promised numberous calls that never happened, and then told us some paperwork was missing which they had - little frustrating but think we are sorted now. We returned our signed mortgage deed to them today so hoping to be able to exchange and complete next week (all being well!)

    That is frustrating!! But glad it's sorted now. 

    We've just had a call from ours to say they are waiting on the vendors solicitor to clarify something - not sure what. Then they will ask them about simultaneous exchange and completion and possible dates. I've said we're happy to move asap so 🤞 we'll be in in a few weeks ! 

    I'm getting excited now and I bet you are too!

    Thankyou! Just noticed the classic auto correct in my first message not sure what it thought I was spelling but airless sack was not it 😂 'a little slack' 😂. We are aiming to exchange contracts early next week and complete on Friday 👀. Solicitor seems to think doable so let's see how it goes! 

    That's exciting, yes I can't wait though we have an awful lot of decorating to get done, as currently it's the classic terracotta and wooden theme throughout, the ceilings have wallpaper on too 😂 will you have much to do when you move in?

    Oh wow and you're not keeping the terracotta and wall papered ceiling- how odd 🤣 

    That's really exciting though that you have dates and an aim/end in sight !! Our solicitor has said they will contact the vendors solicitor and ask about dates and simultaneous exchange/completion as that will suit us ! 

    We want to do some painting when we move in and maybe look at new carpet for upstairs but it doesn't need much. Just knowing how to go about doing it, whether to decorate first then move things in. Or just move and decorate as we go...

    That's so exciting!!! How did it all go?? Are you in ? 

    We haven't heard anything since last Monday when the estate agents rang to say the vendor is waiting on the storage company to confirm she can place her things there ... Not sure why that takes over a week so I'm going to chase them tomorrow... This part is stressing me out so much 🤣
