Since my last message, I have received a response to my defence and they are still going ahead with the claim.
This was shortly followed by a 'discount offer' from BW legal which I thought was odd. I guess they know they're probably not going to win.

Nothing unusual there. We see it all the time.
Try searching the forum using the word 'nonsensical' to find other occurrences.
They also note that 'you have tendered no evidence in support of your position'.
Wonderful.
Don't they know that evidence comes later - at Witness Statement time?
Looks like you might be better informed than they are.

Yeah, I'm not sure why they bothered to say that. At this point I wish they'd just strike out the case already.
I've recently received my notice of allocation so I'm on to the witness statement stage. The hearing date is set for the 7th of July. I'm a bit confused about the deadline dates for my WS and supporting documents. On the newbie's thread, it mentions this stage should be completed no later than 14 days before the hearing. On my notice of allocation, it states that I need to send all evidence I wish to rely on to the court and claimant before the 6th of April, then agree on a Trail bundle by the 13th (including WS).
This seems like very little time to send in all of these documents?

No, the NEWBIES thread says "usually 14 days before the hearing".
Note the word usually in there.
Different courts have different ideas for various reasons.
What you must do is follow the directions given to you by the court.4 -
I'm working full time and supporting a family so I really don't have much time for this rubbish. Even so, I'll start working on my WS. Is it still recommended that I follow this structure?
Cheers!

It does seem they want the info rather early.
Please note the last line on that Order you have shown us...
30th March is this coming Tuesday.4 -
There is nothing usually since covid !!
But orders are orders and it will not receive a strike out , but the claimant can discontinue at any time
You need to get a grip because you are on the team sheet , picked to play , and they have already kicked off , it's now the second half with the end of the match in sight !! With money at stake !!
Even if you employed a solicitor you would still be expected to provide a WS plus exhibits by the deadline dates
Yes follow the structure , unless you have an improved plan2 -
Thanks, I sent them my contact details today.KeithP said:It does seem they want the info rather early.

I have just received the trial bundle from PPS. They have pointed out that I did indeed pay 58 minutes late which is over the 10 minute grace period. I did pay the full amount for my time in the car park but clearly paid just before leaving.
I thought I had paid much sooner but without the ticket, I couldn't recall the exact timings.
After reading their evidence I'm not quite sure how to defend my case when writing up my WS ?0
