Problems with E-ON
I have been with E-ON for a number of years but recently, along with many others it would seem I have been having problems. For some reason E-ON will not send me a bill through the post, they say that as I have an online account they can't do this. I've had the online account ever since I joined them and have always had bills through the post.
Can anyone please advise if any other provider will send bills through the post and is it worth looking at switching my account to someone else?

Can you not print the bills yourself - ?
When did you last do a comparison of tariffs? You can probably find cheaper suppliers than Eon.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill2 -
Thanks for the reply Robin. When I have tried to print the bills myself, my local Post Office will not accept them. They say they must have the original bill.
Not tried a comparison on tariffs at all, bit scared of trying it.0 -
I'm not an EON customer so this might not apply,if they dont do paper bills any longer then you may need to go elsewhere if that's a necessary requirement.
If they do they can and probably will charge extra for this, anything I use that needs a paper bill posted costs an extra £5 per month,I've no need for paper copies so it's a non issue for me.1 -
@FiestaRed As you've been with Eon for a long time I suspect you are on a expensive tariff and paying on receipt of bill you are not getting any benefits of paying by DD
Let us see if we can tempt you to change - what is your actual annual consumption (in kWh not £) and the first part of your post code eg CV4Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1 -

Look on your bills on the page with the meter readings on it ; there will something like
12345 E (E is estimated, A actual, C consumer) and a cost
We need a reading from about 12 months ago with a letter A and also from today.
Electricity is easy as its already in kWh; Gas reading is in m3 (or ft3) and needs to be multiplied by 11.2 to get a kWh figure.
What tariff are you on - that's on the bill.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
The tarirf is an easy one, it's E-on Energy Plan. I'll have a look and see if I can find the other figures.0

Just found a few figures that say: Estimated use in the last 12 months Electricity 2,084 kWh Gas 16,038 kWh
Hope that helps.0 -
I have just left E.on and gone to Octopus. Do try a comparison, as Gerry1 says, what's the worst that can happen? You may even save some money. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts.
