How should I expect to receive the costs? Do they go via the court or direct to me (not that I'm naive enough to think that VCS will pay on time...)

Well done on your win.  :)

Was the case heard in the East Midlands? I think that is Mr Pickup's area. He has featured on this forum before. Sounds like a character out of a Charles Dickens novel.

Excel and VCS do provide some entertainment, what with judges left hanging on the phone etc.

Has anyone had any success in reporting VCS to the ICO? I lodge a complaint a while ago, and have followed up to explain that if the judge ruled that VCS shouldn't have issued a PCN and raised a claim against me, that they didn't have a legitimate interest to obtain my keeper details in the first place. I've been fobbed off by them so far so I've escalated with them.

I don't think we've seen any ICO:PPC complaint result in 'blood on the floor', but unless the complaints go in and are pursued vigorously, we never will. The ICO are unlikely to take anything forward proactively, and of their own volition.

    Well done in escalating.
